The images and videos we've seen so far of Mirror's Edge are a little confusing as to how the game portrays Faith (the protagonist). In the story trailer and the screenshot of Faith holding a gun, she has a hard, no-nonsense attitude, when we see Faith at the end of trailer three, that personality is completly gone and she looks very calm.
