1. "I thought Wicked was the prequel to the Wizard of Oz!" یا "Why aren't they doing Wicked instead?"
Sorry to brust آپ bubbles, but "Wicked" is not an official prequel to the story. It just a پرستار fiction writen for adult entertainment. I heard somewhere that they were going to film a movie but I haven't really heard any further details as far as I know. There were also rumors that ABC was working on making a tv series, but no info on that either. Maybe someday in the future the film will happen, but right now I think it's good that we finally get to see a movie that focuses on the Wizard for a change, rather than Dorothy یا the Wicked Witch.
2. This looks like "Alice in Wonderland"! یا "There's too much CGI!!"
When I first saw Tim Burton's version of Alice, I liked it, but after seeing it the 2nd and 3rd time it got a bit boring and gloomy. I was very worried that the new Oz movie would look the same, but after seeing both previews (especially the 2nd one) all of my fears went away. From what I seen, the land of Oz looks way مزید colorful and has a great mix of real sets and CGI, which should be perfect for a fantasy movie. I mean, c'mon people! it's the 21st century, a lot of films cannot be done without computer and technology.
3. "Why isn't Johnny Depp playing Oz?!" یا "James Franco will suck at this!"
Johnny was offered the role, but he turned it down because he choose to do "The Lone Ranger" instead. I like Johnny and always have, but let's face it people: The man is almost 50 and he's been playing nothing but the same freaking characters for the last 10 years یا so. I just cannot imagine him playing Oscar Diggs, and if he did, he would have the character act all weird and over-do it like he always does. And what's wrong with James Franco? he has done many awesome films and has played a variety of characters. I think he's perfect for Oz and I'm glad that Hollywood is giving him a chance to be in an iconic role, because I'm getting tired of the same actors like Depp and Robert Downey Jr. getting them. Just give James a chance and آپ might be amazed.
4. "Where's Dorothy?!"
In case آپ people haven't listend clearly, Oz: The Great and Powerful is a PREQUEL that took place way before Dorothy came into the picture. This film is focusing on the Wizard and how he came to be ruler. Sorry, but director Sam Rami کہا that Dorothy, Scarecrow, یا any of them will NOT appear in this film, though I think he hinted that there might be a glimpse of a familar face. He also stated that if this film does turn out to be a success and gets to have a sequel, Dorothy wouldn't appear in it either.
5. "This movie is gonna suck!"
Seriously people? why are آپ judging a film that hasn't even come out yet? Can't آپ just wait to see it and then determine whether it's good یا bad?
