nottonighthoney Unfortunately, it is a true story, child abuse continues still. Same age as Aurora Gagnon, entered Camilite in Toronto only to be abused by nuns, almost the same treatment as Aurora. 25yrs later still dealing with the case & lawyers. Courts don't seem to reconize the damage, award are extremely small, if any, no treatment, not important enough waiting 26 years and still no court date. 1 story about child abuse & 1 story for the abuse of the system & lawyers. Both are a nightmare!

birdies I'm 61 and endured child abuse like this until I left home at about 20 years old. I was beaten, sexually-abused, sleep-deprived, food-deprived....Everything except I survived because my abuse started as an infant and my mind split. I developed D.I.D. to this day, I'm learning more of my truth. I'm dealing with PTSD and have had to go on disability..I was a child of the 70's and there was no obligation on the part of the authorities to investigate. All of my siblings were abused..I split because my abuse started so young...Child abuse is very much alive and children are still dying from it.
