I disagree, Monrose. Looks only matter if you're looking for fame. If you're looking to be a true, talented singer, however, it does not matter. Some of the best singers I know don't look like the beautiful, skinny famous singers (some of them not real singers even) of today's singers-fame. Have آپ heard of Susan Boyle? Alice Cooper? Billy Joel? These are not the young, drop-dead-gorgeous ones, but they are extremely famous and successful. :)
Aretha Franklin and Barbara Streisand are two مزید that are extraordinarily famous for being amazing singers. However, they don't look like Taylor Swift, and they are MUCH مزید successful, and they will be remembered in 50 years. The type that آپ are thinking of, Monrose, is the teen-fad type, and they aren't real singers.
@Monroe: It is everything if آپ want your fanbase to mainly be 12-year-old girls and creepy old men. But seriously, looks aren't everything. With some of my پسندیدہ artists, I fell in love with their voices long before I knew what they looked like. Looks are just a little bonus package.
Only if آپ want to be the اگلے Miley Cyrus do آپ have to be beautiful, and she isn't a real singer. She won't be remembered in 50 years. The true singers often aren't all that amazing-looking, and just look normal.
I don't usually answer these things but I've had one too many tonight so... I think what آپ really want to know is whether یا not آپ look like a pop star. There's a huge difference between being a singer and being a pop star. Pop stars don't necessarily require talent...just good looks and an agent who knows how to sell them. True singers are in it for the موسیقی and should therefore focus on their talent first, looks second. And for the record, judging from your شبیہ [if that's even you], no آپ don't look like a pop star. You're not wearing enough makeup and آپ haven't been photoshopped into plasticity. Oh and آپ seem to be lacking in shiny accessories, painted-on clothing and a come-hither sex kitten pout.
