Haku appeared at the beginning of the series were as Suigetsu appeared in Shippuden. I don't recall Haku being able to freeze people like that, it has been a long time since I saw his fight so I could be wrong.

We can't just assume he can, if he could why didn't he just freeze Naruto and Sasuke while they were in the mirrors during their fight? It seems pretty obvious to me he can't so that means he can't hurt Suigetsu.

well the snow ninja freeze sasuke in the 1st movie so i think haku could do the same

You are assuming again and the movies aren't canon. We have to go by what Haku has shown us and like I said before, if Haku could do something like that he would of shown us by now.

@raikagebee: do you take into account that Haku is one of the countless characters that we've never seen fighting at full force? Haku has got his speed in his advantage, and he can almost travel at light speed. Suigetsu has been shown to be very strong in his and Taka's fight against Killerbee, prob. even stronger than Zabuza (damn), but Haku could easily jump out of the way of that wave.

I seriously hope you don't think Haku goes at lightspeed, that would mean beginning of series Naruto and Sasuke had lightspeed reactions which is obviously nonsense. Haku is not lightspeed in the mirrors however he is faster in them than if he were on foot but that still doesn't help him beat Suigetsu since Suigetsu has shown greater speed and can't be actually defeated by Haku because of his ability to turn into water. Haku has also only shown to be able to use his mirrors like a dome as well so he can't use them for a quick escape like what you said.

True true, Sasuke hasn't got light speed reactions. But if you payed attention during the fight, you see Sasuke got used to Haku's movements, and knew how to time his jump just right to avoid the attack. But that's not really the point. Suigetsu wouldn't be able to touch Haku, Haku would just wear him out. After Suigetsu is out of jutsu and energy, Haku would kill him. Haku definetly has the advantage here, if you ask me.

You are still saying he got used to something going at light speed and then knew how to dodge light speed which as I have already said is impossible. Naruto also caught Haku remember, I guess that makes him faster than light then doesn't it? Haku is nowhere near light speed nor is anything else in Naruto apart from Mabui's technique which is very questionable. I would say Haku is supersonic at the most in the mirrors which won't be trouble in the slightest for Suigetsu.

early Naruto characters are lightspeed eh? then how come guy is one of the fastest with being only mach 7, u need to go at this speed to cause friction with air?

Yeah? Its a well known fact that water is weak against lightning in Naruto but you didn't prove anything. Haku cannot just freeze anyone or anything he wants, if he could he would of showed us it by now so he can't do that to Suigetsu.
