Several years ago a mysterious and unexpected disaster fell upon the world as it began to rapidly decay with the appearance of a strange black substance and the creatures that came from it. It did not take long for much of the plants, life, and waters to go stagnant and stale bringing a sense of doom upon all mankind. All of the world seemed to be at the brink of destruction before a phenomenon occurred. People began to stumble upon brightly colored gems which, upon contact, seemed to revive the land around it as the gem shelled itself away into a massive form, each different from the last. It was thanks to these gems that people found the ability to flourish despite the disaster as they began to build their civilizations around what the gems provided. However, as a threat comes to the power of the gems, how will the civilizations react and how will humanity respond?
