I'm really glad to have found this site.

I wanted to highlight some interesting trends that I noticed in Parable of the Sower and her some of her other work that I found really interesting. Here are some of the themes that I noticed she likes to repeat in her work.

1. Inter-racial couples. I'm not pro- یا con- regarding this issue, but I couldn't help but notice that this theme is repeated in a lot of her work. [ Parable of the Sower, Parable of the Talents, Fledgling, Kindred]

2. Addiction. آپ see this play a prominent role in Parable of the Sower and Fledgling.

Octavia E. Butler is quite possibly my پسندیدہ authors ever, and I cried when I learned of her too-early death (she was only 58) on February 24, 2006. Heck, I'm even considering naming my first-born daughter after her. Why? Because while her novels are all very distinctive, they draw upon a common thread of strong-willed, independent, flawed, fantastic female protagonists. Though I was never fortunate to have met Octavia E. Butler in person, I suspect that these female protagonists all reflect her distinctiveness; she was the first Black female sci-fi writer and described herself as "a pessimist...
