I expect this will get quite a bit of criticism, so a disclaimer before I start: it is not my intention to bash Neal. I'm trying not to find reasons which aren't there and if I saying anything untrue, feel free to correct me. Please don't complain if I say things آپ just don't like, but if I get something specifically canonically wrong, tell me so.

This post is me trying to articulate exactly why it is I'm not fond of Neal. I'm simply trying to just lay out what it is about him that irks me while being as objective and impartial as I can. Some of this post will overlap with other مضامین and posts I've already put up, just a word of warning.

First off, the way he handled the breakup with Emma in Tallahassee really turned me off him. Neal had his reasons for what he did but I cannot overlook the extreme negative effects his actions had on Emma. A betrayal is still a betrayal, regardless of intent. He gave her up to the police because of what August کہا to him. August's exact words were She has a destiny. And you... this life? You're going to keep her from it.[...] There's a curse ... and it needs to be broken. Emma, is the key. I was tasked with keeping her on track and you, my friend, just got caught in the crossfire. Now, I'm going to tell آپ a story. And, at the end of it, you're going to have to make a decision. Will آپ do the right thing ... یا not? So ... are آپ ready?"

Having a destiny just means آپ are a pawn to either other people یا a higher power and "Emma is the key" just cements this interpretation. She's being manipulated into getting involved with a curse. Neal's history as Baelfire proves how dangerous and terrible magic can be. Neal's "in the way", Neal's "been caught in the crossfire" - all this says to me is that Neal can prevent her involvement in magic. He can stop her being a pawn, a pawn to both her 'destiny' and to August, who "was tasked with keeping her on track". Neal was terrified of his past and of magic and was told he had the ability to save the woman he loved from it. August کہا leaving her was the right thing to do, but with Neal's history it couldn't have seemed that way. He could have met up with Emma, gone to Tallahassee together and, with the money from the watches, started a new and honest life.

Instead he flees his past, leaves Emma at its mercy, and in doing so psychologically damages her. His betrayal and abandonment completely destroys her ability to trust anyone. She spends ten years alone - she doesn't make any friends, she doesn't have any meaningful relationships. She's completely closed off to any sort of meaningful interaction with other human beings. This is in no way healthy and it all boils down to Neal.

So far we have a Neal that loved Emma but was too afraid of magic and his past to protect her from it, despite the fact he had the ability to do so. All he had to do was stay with her, care for her, and go through with the plans they had made for their future together.

Fast آگے ten years, and he has a fiancée. We see very little of their interactions and nothing of Neal's affection towards her. He is very open with her about his past after quite a bit of urging from Emma and Tamara claims that he is helping her cope with the idea that fairy-tales are real but we never see any of this. There is absolutely no on screen evidence of Neal's love for her, despite the fact he asked her to marry him. Following the path of logic, either they have a very cold relationship یا Neal's feelings for her evaporated as soon as he set eyes on Emma. We have plenty of evidence of Neal's feelings for her.

Long story short, Neal's fiancée turns out to be a little evil and she shoots him in the abdomen and open a portal to send him to another world. سیکنڈ after this horrific betrayal, he is able to say "I love you" to his ex, who he spent three days with after a decade long interval. An interval which began because he betrayed her.

Then there's the effect Neal's betrayal of Emma affected Henry. Neal didn't know Henry existed but the boy still grew up without his father. From the three days Henry spent with Neal it was clear that he had been starved for a father figure. If not for Neal's actions, Henry would have been raised in Tallahassee سے طرف کی both his parents instead of سے طرف کی the Evil Queen in a town where nothing changed except him. Going to school, Henry would have made دوستوں one year, only to leave them behind at the end of the سال because he aged and they didn't. If the series wasn't on a channel suitable for children, Henry would have had severe issues from all this. As it is he's in therapy. None of this is Neal's fault, but it's still his responsibility. And to give credit where it is due, he does step up and act the father he should have been all along as soon as he finds out he has a son, putting his entire life on hold and facing his fears to do so.

I'm not entirely happy with this yet so I'll probably ترمیم it and add things I've forgotten to talk about some other time when it's not so late I can see the sun beginning to rise. Thanks anyway for reading!

I'm sure many people know I ship CaptainSwan, but I will try to keep this مضمون as unbiased as possible and will enter a mental neutral zone.

It's unfortunate, but I see a lot of negative encounters between SwanFire shippers and CaptainSwan shippers. مزید negative than positive, too. Can this be changed? I think so. How? Respect.

But to clarify on what's respectful and what's disrespectful, here are some examples:

Respectful

"I think Neal and Emma would make a good couple because they have similar backgrounds and they've been through a lot."

"I don't think Emma and Neal would make a good couple...

It has come to my attention that some people (SwanFire shippers, it usually seems) genuinely don't understand why the CaptainSwan ship even exists. And I just want to say, before I get started, that it is not my intention to start a ship war between CaptainSwan and SwanFire. The intention of this مضمون is not to convert SwanFire shippers, but to help them understand where some CaptainSwan shippers might be coming from.

This مضمون is not intended to speak on behalf of all CaptainSwan shippers because while we agree on the Emma x Hook relationship, we may not all be on the ship for the same...

After reading katarlover's مضمون I made this long تبصرہ about it. I asked him if he minded if I گیا کیا پوسٹ the response as a separate article--he کہا yes, so here we go. I tried to be respectful about it, feel free to agree یا disagree, just be respectful about it.

I can agree to some extent that she's a hypocrite, but not for that reason. I feel like that is مزید so denial and a twisted sense of justice. At that point she was totally (by some faltered mental state) convinced she was in the right, and that she really wasn't evil. In the most حالیہ season she admits that she's wrong many times;...

People seems to have a lot of issues with Emma and some of the choices she made. She has never been a favourite character of mine but I really feel dreadful for her. She was forced into a lot of shitty situations where she had to make terrible decisions and generally always chooses to do right سے طرف کی other people even if it will bring her heartache.

Starting at the very beginning, one of the main things that Emma did that people use against her is her giving up Henry. I've seen her called a terrible person, a bad mother, and all sorts of things because of this and the kicker? She didn't have a choice!...

**•Lana Parrilla Talks About Regina Teaching Emma Magic, Their Developing Relationship & Her Own Adeventure In Neverland!•**

Regina's seemingly strong dislike of Emma:
"It was never a personal hatred Regina had for Emma, she was a threat. Regina wanted to stop her from taking Henry. She did extreme things to stop this extreme threat of losing her son for good. It wasn't a personal vendetta, but it was the risk of losing the thing that meant everything to her, Henry."

"Now that she is working with Emma, Hook (and the Charmings) to get Henry back. Regina & Emma call themselves "the Moms"...

The Boy Who Ran Away یا the story of Bealfire

It all started with a boy that had lost his father. This was not uncommon at that time because the country was at war, but he had not lost his father in the war as the other boys had. He had lost him to a great darkness that had consumed all that was good in his father, all that he had loved. This darkness went سے طرف کی the name of magic.

The father that had loved him, cared for him, comforted him when his mother had been killed was gone. Magic had killed him یا was killing him and replacing him with a cruel man filled with hate that hurt everyone around...

I think one of the reasons I love Rumple so much is the fact that he is quite possibly one of the most intelligent people on the دکھائیں and he is definitely the best master manipulator. From the moment he lost Bae through the portal he was looking for a way to get him back. He was so focused on reuniting with his son that every flashback scene he is in he is in some way working toward getting to the Land Without Magic.

Let's recap:

The moment he loses Bae through the portal he meets the Blue Fairy who he tricks into telling him that there is a curse that will take everyone there. There is no other...

This is another topic that seems to come up often on this spot. A good many people thing it was dumb of Regina to trust her mom and stupid of her to mourn her mom's passing. I just wanted to share my take on this issue. I'm not directing it at anyone person either, so I hope it doesn't come off like that to anyone. If it does, that's probably because some of my points are taken from تبصرے I previously typed (because I'm a lazyarse.) :P

To start off I'd like to point out that was all alone until her mother came to Storybrook, she literally had no one, no one at all. And then finally someone...

I love Belle. I like that she's sweet, brave, willing to see the best in everyone and not afraid to say what she feels no matter what happens. She is the character that reminds me the most of myself. I like Rumple too mainly because of Robert Carlyle. Who can manage be both alluring and incredibly creepy even dressed as a sparkly imp. I've been a devoted fangirl since the Full Monty and OUAT has only encouraged that. However I can't support Rumbelle.

I know that the idea of seeing the best in someone and changing them for the better is very مقبول with most girls. I'll admit I've fallen for...

Graham's death was one of the most heart-breaking moments on OUAT. After watching the finale, I found it even مزید so, and though I’ve always felt that he deserved a happy ending, I now believe it مزید firmly than ever.

Let’s take a look at his life. He was abandoned to the wolves سے طرف کی this own parents. It is never revealed what age he was then یا if he was even old enough for him to remember his parents when he got older. That is enough to make anyone bitter. Yet, he had a sense of honor that he apparently learned from the wolves.

Then one day, he gets sent سے طرف کی the Evil Queen to kill Snow White....
