He needs to go cold turkey. Otherwise it's like telling a drug addict to only to break out the goods on special occasions. Soon everyday is a special occasion.

I think giving up the magic would be a death sentence. Regardless of what he does in the future, his past (as we just saw), is still pretty raw, and there's way too many people that are leaving him alone only because of his magic.

I don't want Rum to change.
I mean, I want him to change for Belle, but not really for anyone else. I fell in love with the character because of who he is, and I feel like if he quit using magic or used it for good things, it would change him completely. Obviously, I don't want him ruining his relationship with Belle (any more), but I also would not appreciate a bland Rumple with zero power or ways of trolling everyone.
What I really want is for Belle to become darker. He should teach her magic then they should break out of SB and find Bae while simultaneously trolling everyone.
I don't know, I'm just not a fan of characters being redeemed. I'm not feeling it with Gina either. I like the villians, and of course they deserve happiness, but I like their snark and their evilness too and I don't want to let it go ;)
