^^ I agree with Gracery.
The main five are the most important part of the show, and that's the reason why OTH isn't the same since season 4, because they focus too much on secondary characters.

But LP are leaving.. It will not be the same, but maybe the new characters will help the show to continue good. I don't want to call it a spin-off tho. A spin-off would happen if Lucas and Peyton had a show for them, like it happened with Addison from Grey's Anatomy for example.

i thought the whole purpose of OTH at the begining was the Lucas Peyton and Nathan story i am quite dissapointed that the main chracters in this story have left the show :(

the 2 people leaving make the show for me. so without them it leaves naley and brooke which is all ok (not great, but ok)... then add in mouth/millie, jamie/maddison, skills/teacher person, mia/chase,junk/fergie, sam(and jack if they both come back) .... do they seriously need all these screen time hoggers? thats what makes it the spin off.

does ANYBODY seriously like these? ok so skills is ok but if it was all or none id pick none. if i was gonna watch this show theyd need to get rid off all of these, leave naley and brooke and bring back rachel.

maybe they could send jamie off to a boarding school or something?

LP leaving aside, if they would stop increasing "guestie of the week" to have more scenes then the core 5... Well then it wouldn't be so terrible. All shows need a little fresh faces from time to time.

But making it that Mouth/Millie, Sam/Jack & Skills/Lauren have more fucking scenes then Brooke/Haley, Brooke/Peyton, Brooke/Lucas, Brooke/Nathan, Nathan/Haley, Nathan/Lucas, Nathan/Peyton...

Ummm you get my drift. lol basically any combination you can make of the core 5!

It's ridonkulous.

look, leytons leaving. but the show is solid. so they dont want it to end, its like the original bev hills 90210 when they just kept cycling ppl in and out of the show. i think itll be good for tree hill.

I absolutely adore new characters!! They're really fresh and interesting!! And I can def say that the 1st 2 epis of the 7th season are much better then the whole 6th season!!!
And guys, just stop aching about LP leaving! It's over!!
P.S. personally for me the show became better without them... But it's just for me... I know that most of you do like\love LP...
