Ah, totally. I felt that i was watching a different show. How did Lucas moved away from Brooke so fast, like in.. two days?

The way they were acting, it seemed like two years.
I get Mark really wanted LP to happen, but i hated his way of dealing with it. Idiot. -.-

And season 2 doesn't seem disconnected to me.

I didn't know ppl think s2 was disconnected from s1 until last week, LOL. So basically, some ppl claim that most characters are OOC in season 2, whereas s4 is covered with soap opera-ish SL. I wanna know your thoughts. Personally, I loved s2 and I don't think the characters were OOC. In s4, however, I agree with the SL - hello Daunte, pregnancy + car accident, Brooke cheating + affair with teacher, and psycho Derek. IMO, these 2 seasons are in contrast. S2 had amazing friendships scenes, everyone had scenes with each other. In s4, they were more divided, crappy season for friendships. And ofc, there's the endless BLP war but let's not go into that. So thoughts?

LOL Cat! Exactly my thoughts. I watched 4x01 RIGHT AFTER I watched 3x22 and I felt like I missed something.
How did Brooke get so cold?
How did Peyton seem to be so cheerful after
a) Brooke slapped her?
b) she was worried sick about Nathan in the hospital?
c) thinking of calling her brother?
I can say SO much about Peyton but I'm avoiding heated arguments so I'm leaving it at that.
Most of all, how did Lucas lose his sense of style?

I'd say the only character that might have been OOC in season 2 was Haley. But i wouldn't call her that.

Season 2 was one of the best seasons, IMO. The characters felt real for me, and there was drama, but not soap opera drama.
The only bad thing people can say about season 2 is that the main five weren't together much. But lol, we've had worse, just look at season 5 & 6. xD

I actually love Haley's SL in s2 except that I hate the fact that she left Nathan just like that. LMFAO. But other than that, it was a great SL for Naley. I guess the most OOC for me would be Brooke, because she was just.. behaved. If you don't count Felix, she was almost a saint in s2. There were too many extra characters but at least we had BP, PH, NP, BL, LH scenes. It sucks for LPers though that they didn't get much screentime together so I'm interested in their thoughts especially that it's up with the famous LP season 4.

Yea, me too. I just hated the she hide things from Nathan and she left like that. That was the OOC part of Haley.

But the rest was perfect, IMO. The couples don't really need to be happy all the time to have a interesting SL!

Lol, you got a point with Brooke. But i don't think she was OOC. I think she was just tired of always being the party girl. She was understanding how meaningless all of that was.

And about the LP scenes.. Lol, they didn't have much, yea.
But again, it made sense! I remember a scene they had where Lucas was trying to help Peyton and she pushed him away, saying they weren't even friends. She was right, they weren't really friends. Like Lucas and Brooke weren't either, but they started to grow close.
All of those things weren't rushed, i could actually see Lucas forming new friendships with both Brooke and Peyton.

What can I say? You already said it all, girls. I don't consider the whole season 4 as the worst one or something, but it definitely was the most disconnected one. Leyton/Brucas situation just proved it. Mark... Even a child could do it better than you did it!

How Lucas and Peyton got over Brooke and Jake so magically was just...WOW!xS

None. Some storylines might have seemed different or odd or even baised and OOC....but those are all part of OTH and it all goes together whether or not you realize it or not

i dont get this, this two seasons arent disconnected from the others. just because lucas moved away from brooke so fast or there was no haley, doesn't make them disconnected...

I didn't think it was OOC for Haley to join the tour. She's just like Lucas. When Lucas had the opportunity to play basketball, he grabbed that opportunity and fought for it even if that means he's going up with Nathan. When Lucas had the opportunity to be with Peyton, he grabbed the opportunity only to be pushed away. Now this is Haley's dream we're talking about, this is a once in a lifetime shot and Chris is giving her the opportunity, and just like Lucas she grabbed it. It was very typical of LH because these are things they didn't imagine would happen in their own little world. The only thing that irks me is how Haley just left. I felt like she was rebelling on Nathan. Haley, a rebel? Oh well, everyone makes poor judgments sometimes, and this is one for Haley. Then again, I thought it was a great SL for them.

I don't understand. That's what I love about this show...that every single storyline is so complex and involved with the next one. Just because the characters changed a little, it doesn't mean the seasons weren't connected...!
