The Lydia one was too obvious and seemed thrown together at the last minute. The Ellie story developed over time beautifully.

Both were sad and I enjoyed watching both BUT Ellie's storyline wasn't quick...it developed over time...her reunion with her daughter,Peyton and jut all of it all the way to the last time...when she put the music on,laid down...and passed.Still gets me today! I cried when Lydia died too..but there wasn't a lot of time to invest so much into a storyline that was only a couple of weeks. It's funny because I didn't actually watch the show when Ellie was on...started watching in s5 but after watching Ellie and Peyton's scenes..she became a favorite of mine! BOTH stories were done beautifully,BOTH were tearjerkers for me and BOTH had tragic endings!

I dunno...I loved both Moms: Ellie was amazing and a really cool mother. And Lydia...hell, it's Lydia! She was awesome and I LOVED her sense of humor! : D
Both Moms totally accepted their disease. They tried to enjoy the time that was left, but, predictable or not, I think watching the whole James/Scott family sticking together and trying to help each other while everyone knew what was going to happen...that was incredible! And heartbreaking! I've never cried so much in just one single episode (7x18)!!! Or even 2,5 episodes whereas the sl was the same ( =
Maybe it's also a little bit about their family's attitude: the James family reacted in so many different ways (Haley tried to help her mother and didn't want to watch her die, Taylor didn't want to accept Lydia's decision...and Quinn was just kinda desperate and didn't know what to do)...and that's what impressed me so much. All these different reactions that were equally heartbreaking...AMAZING!
Whereas in Ellie's sl...there was just Peyton. And I really didn't like her "mood swings" like "Aw, no...she's dying, I have to spend time with her! Oh no, wait! I don't want to see her again, stay out of my life!" That was kinda...weird. And I hated Peyton's facial expression when she found Ellie dead in her house xP

hmm i think both were good. well actually i guess the ellie one was better then the lydia one lol the only reason i picked this tho cuz i cried my eyes out during that taylor/lydia scene in the hospital and i loved the growth of the character we saw for taylor with this storyline.

I think both were amazing, honestly.
