“C’mon, men! We need to be in tip-top shape!” Skipper barked at Kowalski and Private, who were ordered to perform push-ups, that morning…

Kowalski panted heavily after each push. He didn’t understand why Rico would harm Private. Of course his doll was being taken away at that time, but Kowalski had never pondered on just how much that doll meant to Rico. Did he even realize that it was a doll? He probably viewed it as though it were a real person, which almost frightened Kowalski. Is Rico truly an insane پینگوئن, پیںگان who cares not for his friends, but only for an inanimate object?

No, that was completely preposterous. The پینگوئن, پیںگان that he shared a friendly embrace with, last night, surely was not a deranged psychopath. The team had spent so much time together, through both dangerous and joyful times. They were practically family, were they not? But, why would Rico have the nerve to throw a crowbar at Private and not even feel regret for doing so?

Judging from what Marlene had told them, last night, Rico seemed like a threat that didn’t need to be reckoned with. From past experience, Kowalski knew that آپ couldn’t possibly interpret...

Rico was nearing Marlene’s habitat when he saw Skipper rushing out of the tunnel.

He didn’t even acknowledge Rico’s presence as the two passed. Lucky for him, for he had feared that his leader would have most likely کہا something about the doll under his arm. Rico turned back and watched as Skipper disappeared into the night’s shadows. It was a bit strange, but he decided to ignore this. He was tired, anyway, and wanted nothing مزید than to lie down with his doll. Therefore, he turned again and marched into Marlene’s tunnel with a smile across his beak.

The otter’s ہوم was dark and quiet. However, he heard a faint noise that sounded as though it were creeping from the other end of the shady tunnel. As he moved deeper into the vicinity, he came across what he believed to be Marlene’s main room. The faint noise had now uncovered itself to be a quiet song that was playing from the stereo. It sounded as though a high-pitched man were repeating the words ‘if I didn’t care’.He noticed a few candles that were still dimly aflame. They didn’t provide much light, but it was enough to reveal Marlene, who was sitting on one end of the red...

Afternoon, and there was a knock on the door…

Kowalski, who was sitting against a دیوار of the HQ, looked up from his book that he was reading and stared at the door. Private rolled over from within his bunk and glanced at the door, as well. Skipper groaned and made his way towards the ذریعہ of the sound. He seemed to be doing most of the work, lately. The others only seemed to be interested in quarrels and drama. The leader longed to go on another successful mission with his teammates; like they used to. Otherwise, life at the zoo was beginning to lose its meaning. But something kept him going…

When Skipper swung the door open, he was immediately confronted سے طرف کی his neighbor, who was panting for breath. She appeared to have been running یا something of the sort.

“Marlene! What’s the pro-”

The وٹر, اوٹار smiled, stepped forward, and wrapped an arm around the پینگوئن, پیںگان “No, no, no! Don’t say anything! Just…just c’mon! Follow me!” she laughed, guiding Skipper towards the exit.

Rico missed his doll.

He missed the plastic female that was always just the right size for a warm hug; her long, blonde hair, her silent and mysterious personality. She was probably the only one that truly understood the lonely penguin. Everyone else seemed to just judge him; but not her. She accepted Rico for who he was, and nothing more. She never argued with him, and she always allowed Rico to have the first word in everything. If only there were مزید women like her.

But there wasn’t; only her…

This was all very stupid. Pointless. Irritating. Depressing. Frustrating.

Rico could think of many words that could sum up the situation at hand. There were nights when he would think back to how this all happened. He only wanted a hug from Kowalski. After that, Kowalski seemed to ignore him for a few days. Suddenly, the intellectual chose to make love to the heavyset penguin, that one night. It had come out of nowhere, and he still wasn’t sure as to what drove Kowalski to do it. Rico didn’t know how to react, so he decided to simply push him away. That short moment had changed the team completely. Every time he thought about it,...

He found Skipper sitting in the middle of the HQ.

“Private, there آپ are!” he کہا without standing.

“Sorry ‘bout that, Skippa! Just had to feed Rico…”

He tilted his head, “I admire your tenderness, Private, but keep in mind that he’s being punished.”

“Yes, Skippa…”

Silence…

“So…how did the mission go?” Private made an attempt to make conversation.

Skipper chuckled and rolled his eyes with a smile.

“Ringtail isn’t doing anything important, and Kowalski’s probably writing down his every action. I hate to say it, but the mission was a bust.”

“Oh…”

مزید silence…

“What’s the matter, Private? آپ look a little shaken up…”

Private trembled, “Well, I’m just not sure why Rico is being punished in the first place is all…”

“I…never told you?”

“Fraid not, Skippa…”

That was when Skipper eventually realized that Private was completely oblivious to what Rico had tried to do with Kowalski.

“Okay, so now you’d have to اقدام this little guy over here. آپ see?” Marlene smiled as she repositioned one of the pieces on the chess board.

Rico, who sat on the opposite side of the board that rested on a small boulder, rubbed his head in confusion. He wasn’t quite getting the hang of this new game. He had witnessed Kowalski and Skipper playing it many times before, but never did he make an attempt to participate.

“Okay, so it’s my turn, and…I think I’ll move…” she paused as her hand hovered over the board, searching for the perfect piece to use, “…this one!” Marlene moved her bishop across the board, resulting in the downfall of one of Rico’s knights.

“Uh-oh, Rico!” she giggled with a wide grin, “I killed your horse!”

The پینگوئن, پیںگان rolled his eyes and shook his head with folded flippers. Marlene had been practically playing the game for him. He released a sigh of annoyance and looked towards the cave entrance. It appeared to be raining, that night. Rico had spent his entire دن with Marlene, helping her clean the cave and play games. It really didn’t interest him at all. He wanted to go on a...

“Rise and shine, men!”

Kowalski flung himself from his bunk and landed in front of his leader with stiff posture. Private, however, took his time, as he normally did. To him, this دن wasn’t anything new.

What mission will Skippa assign us? When are we going to eat? Is Julien going to torment us, today?

These were the very same thoughts that coursed through Private’s noggin’ every other day; whereas, Kowalski had other things in mind.

How can I change, today? How can I make this the best دن of my life? How can I دکھائیں the team my appreciation for them?

Kowalski was wearing the biggest smile Skipper had ever laid his eyes on. But, in an attempt to avoid the hassle, Skipper shook his head and turned away with his flippers behind his back

“Okay, boys. We can’t let Rico’s little mishap hinder our team spirit!” Skipper turned once again to face his two men, “Which is why we’re going on a mission; to prove to Rico that we’re just fine and dandy without him…” he grinned, now folding his flippers.

Note To Self,

Tonight, Skipper decided to avert our attention from the gloomy situation سے طرف کی screening a variety of films. The majority of which included documentaries of different sorts of animals. Skipper seemed to have skipped the penguins’ film. I can’t blame him. The contents of that video were horrid beyond belief. Anyway, Rico appears to be well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has already started to feel at ہوم with Marlene. I can’t very well say the same for me, though. I miss him. But, I’ve also discovered something about our relationship. I admit that my actions towards him have been wrong. Male penguins should stay to tradition, I suppose. It’s almost humorous, actually. During his time of absence, Rico has become something else in my mind. I no longer desire his romantic affection.

Instead, I miss him as a friend. I have learned to cherish our friendship, rather than lust for the penguin. In fact, these feelings I once had have begun to diminish. I feel like a completely new penguin. The errors I have made are now apparent to me. I’m ashamed of it. It occurred to me, earlier, when Private asked the question. He asked me if male...

An گھنٹہ past noon time, and the penguins had invited Marlene to their HQ in order to make arrangements.

To be completely honest, Kowalski couldn’t wait any longer. He was getting awfully sick and tired of this depressed feeling that crept up from behind, whenever Rico was near. Kowalski felt incredibly guilty and shameful, having been the very reason that Rico was going through this mess. But it was over, now! Rico simply needed to leave for a while, giving Kowalski some time to rethink his feelings and clear his head. Things would soon be back to the way they used to be; and they would all be happy…

“Woah, wait a minute…say that again!” Marlene raised her voice in surprise. Skipper hadn’t exactly planned the procedure, beforehand, which resulted in a very upset وٹر, اوٹار who was beginning to rethink the idea of housing a manic penguin.

“Relax, Marlene! The boy just needs a little time to himself. Two weeks, tops!” the leader reassured, doing his best to make the job sound as simple as taking out the trash.

Kowalski’s eye twitched. He promised himself he wouldn’t cry. It was for the best…

“Private, go outside until further notice!” Skipper ordered while making his way towards Kowalski and Rico, who were both told to stand against the wall, side-by-side. Neither of them were allowed to speak until spoken to, and their heads were to remain آگے and straight. The leader had suspected some activity occurring between the two suspicious penguins, and he was مزید than ready to get to the bottom of it. The small Private didn’t hesitate to follow his orders. During the rare occasion that Skipper asked to be alone, no one argued.

Kowalski’s eyes were fixated to the دیوار on the opposite side of the room. His body was tense and his breaths were slow and quiet. The پینگوئن, پیںگان was doing his best not to attract attention to himself. Rico, on the other hand, appeared relaxed. He retained his poor posture, his calm expression, and his vacant eyes. He didn’t care at all, did he…?

Damn it!

This was the peak of things…

It was time to confront this lust that had yet to take flight. But how would he do it? Kowalski couldn’t simply step out and say it!

Say what?

What would he even say?! Should he say anything? It seemed to work well for Rico!

This was much too difficult than it should have been. Why was it so damn hard?!

It was his fault; this ridiculous, complicated process of thought. This would never work out; he and Rico. They were so different from one another. He had often heard that opposites were مزید likely to feel attracted to one another, but this was going crossing the line. Kowalski thought everything through to an agonizingly long-awaited conclusion, whereas Rico hardly spent any time thinking about his actions anything at all.

“When…?” he muttered to himself for no known reason at all. It only showed just how concentrated he was on other matters. He despised it, though. He knew his brain operated far مزید differently than the other three. But that was what made him essential to the team, wasn’t it? This may have been so; only, it wasn’t worth...

“What’s going on, Skippa?” Private appeared from behind the conversing crowd that had gathered near the fishbowl ladder. This cluster of animals now included the four penguins and Marlene, who appeared to have brought along some important news.

“We’ve received word that Alice and her coworkers are planning some sort of diabolical meeting at the Zoovenir.” Kowalski answered, instead. Marlene was quick to intervene, though.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa! I did not say anything about it being diabolical!” the وٹر, اوٹار claimed with her hands of her hips. She had only been there for probably 8 منٹ and the penguins’ paranoia was already getting to her. Someone really needed to teach them how to lighten up a bit. For a moment, Julian crossed her mind; but, she immediately disposed of the idea and chose to save it for another time.

“Nonsense, Marlene! Why else would those humans gather all at once?” Skipper cocked his head to the side in amusement. He often enjoyed getting on Marlene’s bad side.

Unfortunate for the تلاش to conclude in failure. Of course, one couldn’t complain when two of the three penguins that engaged the mission had been lacking in effort. The third penguin, Rico, had found something rather interesting. A gray crowbar partially stained with blood of seemingly unknown origin. Normally, the explosives expert tended to نگلنا any sort of object that sparked his interest, which, in this case, was so.

Now, at this point, Skipper and Kowalski really didn’t care for Private’s case, much to the small penguin’s delight. And then, typically, life went on as it had, previously. However, it didn’t go on as smoothly as Kowalski had hoped. In fact, nearly two hours after he, Skipper, and Rico returned from the search, the tall intellectual began to suffer from various thoughts that suddenly decided to flash in his mind. He was instantaneously feeling regret and anger for the way he had been treating Rico. He didn’t mean any harm, really. Rico simply caught him off guard…that was all.

“I’m sorry, Skippa…‘fraid I can’t remember…” Private whispered with his head low. The small پینگوئن, پیںگان had received quite a waking that morning. He didn’t even have enough time to leave his bunk when Skipper and Kowalski confronted him. As promised, Skipper hadn’t asked a single سوال about Private’s disappearance and injury until now.

“C’mon, Private, آپ can’t really expect us to believe that!” Skipper narrowed his eyes with a frown spreading across his beak.

The timid پینگوئن, پیںگان shyly moved to sit on the edge of his bunk, his head retaining its low position. From the looks of things, Private didn’t plan on talking any longer. He was much too afraid of what Skipper and Kowalski would say. As for Rico, Private didn’t care much for what he had to think of the matter. Besides, it wouldn’t have gotten them anywhere. He only wanted the others to leave him be and act as though this never occurred.

Skipper leaned his head forward, close to Private’s, “So, it’s like that, is it?” he spoke softly. Private slowly looked up from the floor and made contact with Skipper’s enforcing eyes, “I didn’t want it to...

In fact, that night, Private had much difficulty in falling asleep. Simply the thought of a friend who was in need prevented the پینگوئن, پیںگان from sleeping. He wondered if Rico was awake, too. He certainly hoped not. Private only wished the best for the regurgitating penguin.

Suddenly, a noise from below grasped Private’s full attention. On first inspection, it was difficult to determine what the sound was. Luckily, Private merely turned his head to the side and caught the perfect glimpse of Rico’s back. The heavyset پینگوئن, پیںگان was slowly heading towards the television. This baffled Private, for he had rarely witnessed Rico leave his بستر at this time of the night. Perhaps he only wanted some entertainment?

Rico plopped in front of the TV, pressing a button on the remote that caused the monitor to flicker on and off very quickly before finally residing on a channel. Unfortunately, the TV wasn’t displaying a channel at all; only a static image. This greatly angered Rico. Where had his دکھائیں gone to? He wanted it back now!

Despite the fact that it was well early in the morning, the injured Private was دیا a few hours to himself for rest and recovery. Skipper stayed true to his word, being sure as to give Private his privacy throughout the entire day. Having done this, the leader also granted the rest of the team absolute freedom for the day. Hopefully, this would give the other penguins some time to themselves. After Private’s unexpected disappearance, it was probably for the best.

Taking advantage of these moments, Kowalski chose to sit in a corner of the room, writing all of his thoughts on his notepad. He couldn’t rid the گزشتہ moment from his mind; the emotional harm that he had induced upon Rico. Surely the hulky پینگوئن, پیںگان would eventually forgive him, though. When these things occurred in the past, the worst that would happen would have been a few hours of silence; and even that was never anything new for him. Everything would resolve itself in no مزید and two hours. Kowalski smiled as he continued these calculations.

He had never felt this before. It had snuck up on him; appeared from some sort of dark and shrouded void that he had never acknowledged until now.

The worst part of it all was the simple fact that he could do nothing about it…

It happened not too long after the team had awoken from their night’s rest. As usual, Skipper alerted the three penguins of the time of day, immediately causing the sleeping aves to roll out from their sleeping slots in the wall. Both Kowalski and Rico hopped onto the cold floor, standing side-by-side with stiff posture. Skipper held his flippers behind his back and stood before the two penguins. It didn’t take the leader much time at all to notice that he was one soldier short.

“Where’s Private?” Skipper arched a brow as he eyed the hole where the missing پینگوئن, پیںگان would normally have been found. Both Rico and Kowalski exchanged glances with one another and then gave Skipper a shrug. In return, Skipper rested his flippers on his sides and lowered his head with closed eyes. After releasing a quiet sigh, Skipper quickly raised his head and looked to the tallest of the four, “Kowalski, I need options!”

Private was walking outside. Suddenly he heard music. It came from the HQ.

He went down the fishbowl enterance. What he saw was funny and somewhat disturbing. There were lights, the room was pink, and with colorful balloons, paper streamers, and hearts.

Rico was a D.J. and Everyone else holds a microphone. (including King Julien. Mort and Maurice were dancing)

Rico tossed Private a microphone and he sang along.

Julien: Ladies and Gentalmen-ies, my servants!
Skipper: I'm Skipper, this is my crew, and we're gonna sing a song.

Skipper: Bow Chica Bow Wow!
Marlene: That's what my baby says
Kowalski: Mow Mow Mow
Marlene: And my دل starts pumpin'
Private: Chica Chica Choo wop
Marlene: Never gonna stop
Everyone: Gitchi Gitchi Goo Means that I love you!

Julien: My baby's got her own way of talking,
When ever she says something sweet,
And she knows it's my world she's a rockin,

Kowalski descended down the ladder into the penguin’s HQ, having just gotten Skipper to confess one of his deepest secrets. His vision panned from one side to the other, scanning the inside for the other penguins.

Rico was sitting in the corner as usual, brushing his doll’s hair and cooing at her. Seeing thing brought a smile to Kowalski’s face. Even though he thought of their relationship as weird, it was still kinda cute to see Rico act like that and Kowalski couldn’t help but smile at the manic bird.

His eyes continued to pan until they fell upon Private. The youngster was sitting in front of the TV, immersing himself in the soap opera’s cliché story. Something about an evil twin brother and love gone wrong; Kowalski wasn’t interested.

He instead focused on one of his new inventions. He wasn’t sure what it was suppose to do, یا even what it was but the fact that it kept him working was enough incentive for him to finish it.

The sounds of Kowalski’s furious work on whatever he was making snapped Private out of his TV trance.

Love Me Do

Kowalski stuck his head out of the fishbowl entrance, a large grin spread across his face.

“Well Skipper, what do need to talk to me about?” He questioned almost teasingly knowing why he had been summoned.

“Ok Kowalski, here’s the thing, آپ see that وٹر, اوٹار over there,” Skipper’s flipper motioned towards Marlene’s habitat, “that وٹر, اوٹار is the epitome of everything I stand against, she is the black to my white, the up to my down, the zig to my zag, the…”

Marlene
The penguins were outside early in the morning, practicing like always. Skipper was shouting out commands when all of the sudden, they get an urge to peek at Marlene’s habitat. When they look over, she looks very sad and bored.

“Skippa, what’s going on with Marlene?” Private asks innocently.

“I have no idea, Private.” Skipper turns to Kowalski. “Kowalski, options!”

“Well, uh…we could go ask her if anything is wrong…?”Kowalski answered, but it sounds مزید like a سوال than an answer.

“Right, let’s go!” With that being کہا the penguins spring into Marlene’s habitat. She is outside on a rock sitting down and looking around. She sighs a couple of times. When she notices the penguins get there, she looks up, completely bored and looks back down.

“Hi guys.” She says, not even trying to make it loud, like she usually does.

“Who are آپ and what have آپ done with Marlene?” Skipper yells in her face when he notices that she is not as cheery as always. Rico pukes up a flashlight, even if it is unnecessary, and flashes the strong light in her face. Marlene covers her face...

Unknown Confession

Skipper stood in the doorway, shocked at what he had just seen.

Was…was that a painting of…of ME?! He thought to himself, still not believing his own two eyes.

“Nah that wasn’t me, it was probably just a پینگوئن, پیںگان from her old aquarium.” He کہا to himself as he waddled out of Marlene’s habitat.

“Yea that’s what it was, just an old friend of hers that just happens to look like me.” Skipper continued, smiling as he tried desperately to convince himself that he had not just seen a painting of himself in Marlene’s habitat.

He کبوتر to the ground and slid on his belly until he reached the outskirts of the penguin’s habitat. He flipped over the fence surrounding their ہوم and کبوتر into the water, barely making a splash.

Skipper swam a few laps around the island trying to clear his head of the image of the painting he just saw.

When his mind was as clear as he was going to get it, he exited the water and headed down into the دل of the penguin’s HQ.

The Most Dangerous Mission
Chapter 2: Greener Pastures
The اگلے morning at early hours, Skipper couldn’t sleep, and he knew why too. He found himself drifting along the corridor to Kowalski’s bunk. He stood there a moment before hesitantly opening the door and going inside.
“Yes, Skipper.” Kowalski raised his head from the میز, جدول where he fell asleep on a pile of all his experiment parts. His eyes drooped from exhaustion, but Skipper didn’t really care that he was interrupting anything right now.
“Well, آپ aren’t going to do it, are you?”
    “Do what?”
“Like آپ don’t know, soldier. Your visitors?” he reminded Kowalski. “You aren’t really considering deserting the military, are you?”
He didn’t answer directly and cast a forlorn glance down at his work table. “I don’t really know. The psychological emotions are too difficult to comprehend and distribute at this time.”

The Most Dangerous Mission
Chapter 1: Kowalski’s Desires
Rico was playing outside in the snow, making neat little drifts to stash his valuable processions beneath. He had been bored that دن and was lighting things on آگ کے, آگ inside of the base.
Skipper was obviously annoyed and told him to do something productive in the snow. So that is exactly what Rico did. He was burying his artillery, trying to leave it in places that were impossible to find. It was like Skipper always said: “You can’t trust anyone, especially yourself.”
Rico didn’t normally think about much, but he thought about this and decided that to best accumulate this problem, he would bury all the lethal and nonlethal weapons. And also, Skipper threatened to take them all and lock them in a box if he couldn’t control his boredom.
That was when something caught his eye. Out across the rugged land, Rico saw a figure, مزید than one actually. They were moving across the snow. They were intruders!
