When people say that it doesn't really say anything about your intelligence, they probably scored low on an IQ test. IQ does say A LOT. It tells your inherent academic ability, your capacity for learning, your memory, and your academic creativity and problem solving skills. One of the main reasons that people don't believe IQ to be important is because many people with high IQ's tend to be lazier. They tend to think that since they are smarter than most people, that they don't have to work as hard. This can sometimes make them come across as unintelligent, rude, and may even affect their grades. Also, people with high IQ's tend to be night owls, which affects how they function during the day. They also tend to be مزید socially awkward, because they think differently than people with average IQ's. They have trouble understanding how other humans think. People with high IQ's are also much مزید likely to experience depression and self-mutilation. This could either come with their natural curiosity, یا with their inability to understand the functioning of a normal human's mind. BUT, even with these downsides, people with high IQ's don't have to work as hard in school to do better than most people, and they have very good memories. They also have the capacity to understand things and concepts that people with lower IQ's could not understand, no matter how much studying they put into it (EX, abstract algebra, graph theory, etc.) People with higher IQ's are also better at solving problems, and tend to be مزید open-minded, and secure in their beliefs.
