I'm new. is there anything that I should know about this website before getting started?

The basics are pretty much:
1. Don't ask for people to پرستار آپ یا شامل میں any spots you've made.
People get really pissed when آپ do that... it will gain آپ a عنوان and reputation of "fan whore".

2. On random, people really jump at آپ when آپ post a سوال that isn't a question.
I've seen it before. People post something in the سوالات section like: "Today I did this... blah blah blah" it's not a question, and آپ will get your internet face eaten off. XD

3. Stay away from trolls, and don't become one.
Trolls are people who intentionally mock other members, opinions, someone who is rude, and does a whole bunch of things to bother the users here.
No one likes a troll...

Yeah, I think those are the basic 3 rules.

Don't ask for fans, don't discuss Justin Bieber یا Twilight in excessive terms on this spot, try to have good grammar and spelling...otherwise I think you'll do fine if آپ don't do that.

- Don't use horrible grammar. That will never end well.
- Don't hate. Stating opinions is okay, but don't be a hater about it.
- Don't troll (do bad things for attention یا to start a fight.)
- DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE NUMBERS 5 AND 7. I'm warning آپ now; I will throw a hissy fit and be sent into a never-ending wave of depression if آپ do. And that's no fun for anyone.
- Post everything and anything آپ can about 3 and 8 and I will love آپ forever.

Well, the guidelines, or, as I enjoy calling it, The Code of Fanpop, is pretty simple.
1. Dont troll. This is where a user posts annoying یا inapropriate stuff on purpose, for attention and to annoy the other users.
2. Try your best with grammar. Many people, espesially on the Random spot, are prickly about that. آپ can still use things like, "lol", "Idk", etc. And its OK to forget to capitalize something. Just don't 'tip lyk dis, k, it rly tcks ppl of'. And don't kill the capslock.
3. Dont be a whore. For anything. For example, I'd avoid asking for fans, for props, for people to شامل میں your club, etc. Sometimes nothing happens, but usually, if someone asks if they're pretty, they get a lot of hate. And don't be an attention whore either.
4. Post stuff in the right catagories. If its a سوال based off opinion, but it in the picks spot, یا if its takes a lot of detail, in the جوابات spot. If its a سوال based of fact, put it in the کوئز spot. And if آپ just want to say something, post it on the wall. And never, EVER, put something in a spot that it doesnt match in. For example, once, someone گیا کیا پوسٹ a lot of Shadow the Hedgehog stuff in the Tails spot, and it really ticked people off.

And there are lots of other things, but I'm feeling to lazy to post it/think of it. So, hope all the info helped! Just remember to follow The Code of Fanpop!

First of all, welcome. We were all new to this site at one time, so hopefully this will make آپ feel a little at ease and not want to go running to the hills if something bad happens to آپ (which is a given). If آپ want to make your experience on here fun, there are certain unwritten rules that one should obey.

-Do not troll. What is that آپ say? Asking ridiculous سوالات that make no sense یا will cause anger in people, harassing someone, typing in all caps, chat speak, using horrible grammar, etc. Basically, try not to piss people off. A little spelling/grammar error here and there is okay. Just don't make it a part of who آپ are.
-Don't ask someone to پرستار آپ یا شامل میں a spot. Very annoying in my book. People will add آپ if they like you. If آپ beg for fans, it comes off as desperate.
-Don't lie. I don't mean آپ have to tell us everything about you, but if you're posting outrageous lies when people know you're lying and آپ end up fighting with them, I'll tell آپ this now. Stop. It's not worth the headaches. I guess this could go under trolling too.
-Don't get hurt and yell at people if someone disagrees with a comment/question that آپ post. If آپ post something like 'Do u like so-and-so better than so-and-so?? OMG, he/she is soooooo much better and is copying him/her!!!!!!!!!' My response would be an image, usually with words that correlate how I feel about کہا question/comment. I'm sarcastic. I can't help it. If you're going to shove something down my throat, be prepared for a backlash. I'm not intentionally rude, but if آپ do any of the above, I will get annoyed.

When in doubt, think of this. Stupid سوالات deserve sarcastic answers.
