I doubt it would matter. I'd be mourning equally regardless of gender.

I would imagine both would be horrible, but going into the psychology of it, people tend to be مزید conservative over their daughters because women are considered to be the مزید fragile sex. So, my answer would be daughter. That is, presuming this is not in a country were people will kill their newborn daughters یا something...
