I'm a few years too old to still believe in Santa. I did believe in him till I was 10 and then for two years afterwards I pretended I still believed.

Oh, yeah, I believe in Santa Clause just like I believe in the Easter Bunny, یا the Tooth Fairy.

Better yet, I also believe the world is a happy place...... NOT.

No offence, but I'm 24, not some stupid, gullible child. I personally think lying to your kids about Santa Clause is freaking stupid. How the hell is your child supposed to trust آپ if آپ LIE to them about the real world?

It just goes to دکھائیں that parents are liars, and will tell their kids just about anything. But on a side note: "Santa" may not be real, but Saint Nickolas is.

Santa may not be real but I'm glad I grew up believing that he was. it gave me something to look آگے to during Christmas. It's just a nice story to tell the kids; keeps things exciting

No. Person above with long name is actually correct. Christmas doesn't celebrate the birth of Christ, because Jesus wasn't and couldn't have been born on the 25th of December... even Christian-based websites state this. Christmas IS originally a pagan holiday. سے طرف کی the way, to what آپ کہا in reply to my first comment, I never کہا that 'all Christians believe in it blindly'... there is nothing in my تبصرہ that says, یا implies, that.

I never mentioned that Christ was born on Dec 25th, mainly cuz I know He wasnt. I was just simply explaining what "Christmas" was meanly about. Oh and sorry, for some reason, I felt the need to put that part in there.

Nope. I don't believe in Santa Claus, and I honestly never have. My parents told me as soon as I was old enough to understand that Santa isn't real, and since age four I've always thought the very idea was stupid.

I haven't since I was probably about 5-7, and I was also extremely doubtful to begin with. I never told my parents, though, and my mum finally told me he wasn't real when I was around 11.

Though I did believe in the Easter Bunny for quite some time and I was utterly wrecked when my parents told me he wasn't real.

Not since I was a child. Most people don't believe in him when they reach a certain age. Maybe the spirit but not the actual person.

I stopped believing when I was 12 and I think my parents should have told me he wasn't real a few years earlier than that. At least I didn't still believe in Santa Claus when I was a teenager, even though I was just a سال away from being a teenager. To make it worse, my parents decided to tell me that the Easter Bunny and The Tooth Fairy a دن before I found out the truth about Santa. But it's not that bad to lie about Santa. Take a look at this video and see why.

OKAY STORY TIME.

When I was eight I found a "letter from Santa" that had been on one of my presents years prior to then. I slipped it in my pocket and asked my grandparents to sign a random piece of paper. They laughed, thinking that I was playing lawyer یا something, and didn't really ask what I was doing. Then I compared their handwriting to the handwriting on the note and concluded that my grandma had actually written the letter.

And that's how I discovered that no, Santa is not real.

Pretty sure my parents still think I believe in Santa, though.

Well I mean I used to :)

There is nothing wrong with a parent letting their child believe in Santa Claus.
It's part of that beautiful innocence of childhood, it's something truly magical that they get to experience for a short period of time. When they discover Santa isn't real, in most cases they figure it out on their own because as آپ grow older, آپ can develop logic and be ok with it.

I will never forget the magic years of when I believed in Santa :) It made that time truly fun and exciting.

I will surely be letting my younger children in the future believe in Santa! It's something so sweet to see the look on their face when Santa has come to visit. Is it a lie? Well duh, obviously. But this is a very innocent tale that wont harm the kid, they will grow out of it eventually, and people who refuse to let their kid believe in Santa just because it isn't true need to get the stick outta their bum! They're just kids! Let them enjoy the concept of magic while they can, because they'll appreciate the memory :)
