At the 2014 Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 10, Selena Gomez received a very prestigious award. Selena was honored with the Ultimate Choice Award! Click to watch her amazing speech!

 honored Selena Gomez, 22, with an honor like no other. The singer/actress received the Ultimate Choice Award from hosts Tyler Posey, 22, and Sarah Hyland, 23, for her dedication to the entertainment industry. Way to go, Selena!

Selena was the youngest recipient ever of the Ultimate Choice Award at the TCAs. The starlet has already won many

TCA hosts, Tyler and Sarah, presented Selena with the Ultimate Choice Award. An awesome montage of her best music, TV and movie moments played out on screen. 

When Selena came out to accept her award, she was as adorable as ever in her sleek all-black outfit. She thanked all her fans for the big award. 

She told her fans, “I have to be honest, especially this month…amidst all the stuff we deal with personally…You remind me of what’s important and that’s giving and loving and caring about each other.” Did Selena just call out her ex, Justin Bieber, 20?  

“I’m not trying to preach, but you guys make me better,” she continued.

Selena also thanked her mother in one of the most heartfelt speeches we’ve seen at the TCAs.

“I want to thank my mom so much because she is the greatest human being in the world,” Selena said. She told all of her fans to love their moms and dedicated her prestigious honor to her own mom.

After the show, Selena posted an “emotional” Instagram message to her fans.

“Why do I always make this face?! I can’t help but get all emotional and mess up my words but man, I am more in love with you guys than ever. Weather it’s tweet or a surfboard. THANK YOU for your embrace. No matter what.”

So she deserves this for what reason? For having a flop of an album & tour.. & movies that have terrible reviews? Miley deserved this or Katy Perry or Beyoncé! Not selena.. She hasn’t done anything to deserve this. Has to be rigged to get her more publicity. TCA’s isn’t even that big of an achievement anymore. Tell me when she wins billboard, world music, or Bambi awards like miley. Byeeee

It’s been reported that the “Teen Choice Awards RIGGED. ” “It’s funny how they told me I won the Viner Award 6 days before the voting ended and made the runners up still tweet to vote for them,” wrote the award winner.

I think she deserves this award more than anyone. I mean not only for her singing and acting which for the record is incredible but also because of all the remarkable charity work she does. She is simply amazing.

No offense but I don’t understand why they picked her. Yeah she had a hit show but that’s been done for over a year now, since then she’s released two (?) albums, released two flop movie, and went on half a tour (because she entered rehab). Call me crazy but I can think of a bunch of people who deserve this award more.

I honestly do not see that selena has contributed to the industry, none of the movies selena has no impact on the film industry and their albums either, I think your personal life is the fact be more recognized that his own work and either as an artist or as a singer, miley, demi, lorde are better singer selena, I have nothing against her, she is not the best.

I think they are running out of ideas! and people to honor.
