Faron's POV:
Even though I have lived with them for a while now, I still feel so insecure around the others... I only really trust Shadow, Silver, Espio and Rocha. I will live in the shadow of Mephiles' death forever. I sat in Espio's bed, consumed in the depressing memories of Mephiles' last moments. I looked at the lazy purple chameleon as he slept soundly behind me. It was morning and rays of sun shone through the window, casting my shadow over his body. I jumped as the door creaked open and the majestic, grey-white hedgehog walked in, "Oh good, you're awake."
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Faron, come with me."
"Where?"
"Just come." I stood up and walked towards Silver as he led the way out of Espio's room. "Where are آپ taking me?" I asked nervously as he led me outside into the cold morning air. I shivered as Silver smiled and hugged me in attempt to make me warm, "don't آپ have any sense of adventure?" he asked slyly. I smiled for the first time after my father's death, "of course I do, just tell me where we're gonna go exploring!"
"You'll see! Damn you're impatient!" Silver laughed. "Oh yeah? I'll race آپ to wherever we're going!" I challenged, "Oh I dont know where we're going sweetie, were just gonna go exploring!"
"Alright!" I کہا as Silver and I ran off to the vast edge of the island. I held my breath as I looked over the edge. "Ooh! Silver! It's beautiful!" I squealed, "Like you..." he murmured in aw. I looked at him to see a blank adoring look on his face as he too stared over the edge. So ya like me? I wondered as I lay down on the dewy گھاس and folded my arms under my head to stare at the sunny dawn sky. I decided to pour my feelings out, I couldn't hide them anymore, "Oh Silver! I can't stop thinking about my father!" I cried as I burst into tears. Silver then flipped onto his side beside me and pulled me into the large white patch of فر, سمور on his chest. He smelled like winter air and a mysterious sort of musk, I felt the rise and fall of his chest and it almost instantly comforted to know that someone was here, living, breathing beside me that loved me dearly and cared for me. "Faron, I love you." he murmured softly. Those words made me feel even safer, for my father had always told me that he loves me. "I love آپ too Sil-" I broke off as his lips closed over mine and we melted into a long, romantic kiss. I pulled away, panting hard, "sorry! I am so sorry!" Silver cried and started to get up, but I pulled him back down and kissed him again, "no, it's okay... that felt good." He came in for another kiss and another one. It felt so bad, yet so... good!
Rocha's POV:
The dreams continued tormenting me. But now I had Shadow beside me, so whenever I got scared, he would pull me close and I would feel محفوظ سے طرف کی his protective side. I didn't think that I would be able to sleep any longer, so I opened my eyes, "Shadow?" I was answered سے طرف کی a kiss, "yes?"
"Where آپ awake all that time?"
"Well, I dont think anyone would be able to sleep if they were kicked in the balls four times in the same night." Shadow smirked as he looked at me. I laughed, "are آپ serious?"
"Do I look serious?"
"Yes. But four times?"
"Oh my God! I am so sorry!"
"It's okay, it just took me all I could do not to scream." Shadow reached over and began to rub my back, "Mrr!" I cried as he hit my sensative spot, "Oh, did I hurt you?"
"No! Keep going! That felt SO good!" I sighed hard as Shadow continued to press on my back. I felt the serenity seep through my bones. I was so happy! I now had a home, lots of دوستوں and a great hedgehog that loved me! What مزید did I need? "I sense your calmness, what are آپ thinking about?"
"Hm hm, you!" I cooed as he lifted his hands and I flipped onto my back, "So Shadow, what do آپ think we should do today?"
"First and foremost, Knuckles and I are going out to find out what those robots that Silver mentioned are up to..."
"Can I come?"
"No! آپ are in grave danger! I can't let آپ die... like I let happen to Maria..." Shadow turned away. I reached up and put my slender finger on his nose, "hey cutie, you've got reason, I'll stay here with Faron."
"Thank you." Shadow still didn't turn around as he stood up and walked away. I sat alone in the بستر hoping that I hadn't made him mad... "Espio! Where the hell is Faron?" I heard Shadow's angry voice coming form across the hall, I quickly got up and walked into the room. "I- She was here this morning!"
"If something has happened to her, آپ will pay DEARLY!" Shadow threatened the purple ninja chameleon as he sat in his بستر looking extremely startled. "Shadow, come on, let's go look for her."
"I'm going... you're not."
"I-"
"It's not safe... please understand." I nodded and backed away. Shadow was such a loner... Rouge was right!
Shadow's POV:
I called Faron's name... no answer. I panicked as Blaze told me that sh had heard the door open and close. I ran outside and noticed that the weather was getting colder. "Faron?" I called her name, but I got no answer. Maybe Knuckles had seen her... I doubted it... that dumb echidna barely notices anything! I continued walking, and then I saw her, and she wasn't alone... Faron and Silver were wrapped in eachother's arms... kissing and fondling. "Faron, Silver! Dont آپ think a مزید appropriate place to do that would be in a WARM bed?" I asked. They broke away quickly, "How long were آپ watching da- I mean Shadow?" Faron asked sounding ashamed, "Dont be ashamed... It's natural. Love inclines all of us. I just got worried that something might have happened to you..."
"Do آپ think that I would let ANYTHING get within a kilometer of her?" Silver asked, "probably not." I laughed as he wrapped his arm around Faron and led her towards me, "Come on Silver and dad, er, I mean Shadow... let's go home!" I looked at Faron, she had such a strong soul. "Let's." We began to leave but as soon as we turned around, we were stopped سے طرف کی a small army of eggbots. "Shadow! What are those!?!?" Faron cried as Silver immediately took a protective stand infront of her, "Eggbots." I muttered angrily as I cracked my knuckles in preparation to fight, "Come and get me bitches!" I called out as I rose my hands above my head, "Chaos spear!" I hurled the spears of raw chaos energy straight at the little devils knocking out a handful of them. "Silver, help me take the rest down!" I called over my shoulder as I was vigorously shot at. I ran straight into combat and destroyed a bunch مزید then I was pinned to the ground, only to be freed سے طرف کی Silver. "Thanks." I nodded at the young hedgehog greatfully. As he swiftly finished the resto of them off, "don't EVER attempt to harm Faron! Not in MY presence!" He yelled victoriously. I looked over my shoulder to see Faron staring at the battle wildly, "I wish I could've joined!" she cried excitedly and I put my arm around her, "come. It seems as if آپ have alot to learn."
"You mean you're gonna teach me?"
"Oh, آپ dont need to be taught, my dear... It runs in your blood. I will admit, Mephiles was a great warrior."
"I've seen him fight before... he just perferred that I not be violent..."
"And it was in your best interest that he kept آپ that way... but now, it is my duty to allow آپ to fight!" I ran straight for her in attempt to test her battle skills and was amazed as I was knocked hard into the ground, "don't even THINK about it dad- I mean Shadow..." I stood up and dusted myself off, "Oh I wont... try a chaos attack اگلے time." I came at her again only to be blown back سے طرف کی chaos blast which narrowly missed my scarred cheek. "Good."
"She's AMAZING!" Silver cried. Then I remembered the robots, what if مزید were on the island? "We- we'd better head back."
"Why? I was having fun!"

"Okay." Faron hung her head and Silver hugged her, "I'll practice with you..."

"Oh my God! Shadow! We need to get into that house now! Something is seriously wrong!" Faron cried. "Let's go!" Silver started for the house and Faron followed him. I didn't اقدام as I heard a scream of terror, "SONIC!" It was Amy. Her shout didn't come from the house... it came from behind it. "Silver, damnit! Keep my daughter safe!" I called as I dashed off to help my گلابی friend. I reached her only to see the distressed upset look on her face. I saw Sonic's look worsen as the robot squeezed harder. "Hurry Shadow! It's going to kill him!" Amy put her hands on her chest as she allowed tears to start pouring down her pale cheeks. "We JUST started our relationship! Why does it have to end so quickly? Why does it have to end like THIS?" she sobbed. I narrowed my eyes as I prepered for my سیکنڈ battle that day. I spinballed the robot's arm that was holding Sonic. It easily came loose, "looks like آپ designs are getting even stronger Doctor." I grinned sarcastically as Sonic fell to the ground and Amy ran to his side. "Now to finish آپ off bitch." I smiled and spinballed continuously throughout the robot eventually causing it to collapse. I was really getting tired, but I had to keep fighting. I looked over at Amy who was cradling Sonic's body gently in her hands. "Will آپ be okay with him Amy?"
"Yes, and thank you!" I skated into the house in attempt to aid the rest of the team in battle. It was unbelievable! The house looked like a trashed war-zone, everything was strewn allover the floor, decorations were broken and glass and torn cloth covered the floor. Everyone was fighting swatbots. I took a سیکنڈ to look at the setup of the defense and I was proud of it. Silver and Knuckled headed off the battle as Tails stayed protected behind Rouge. Blaze and Espio fought side-by-side as did Faron and Rocha. I quickly ran to help them, "Leave them alone!" I growled at the robot that was harassing them. It turned it's focus on me, "Shadow no!" Rocha cried and Faron pulled her back as she almost made an extreamely stupid move. "Are آپ crazy? Do آپ want to get آپ and Shadow killed?" I destroyed the bot, "No-one's getting killed today." I went to finish off Blaze and Espio's enemy. "Well well دکھائیں off." Blaze snorted jokingly, though I knew that in a way sha somewhat meant it. "Shadow, they were everywhere!" I looked down to see Rocha hugging me tightly, I wrapped my arms around her, "it's alright, everything's going to be okay, آپ fought well." I complimented and she looked up, basking in my praise, "thank you..." We all jumped up and prepared to go into combat again as the door opened, but everyone's فر, سمور relaxed when they saw that it was only Amy. She was carrying Sonic who was still unconscious. She looked terribly sad, "i-is everyone alright? Wow, the house looks AWEFUL!" she exclaimed sadly as she lay Sonic down on the couch. "Is he okay?" Tails curiously stood at his best friend's side as did Knuckles. "He'll be fine." everyone looked at me, they all thought I hated Sonic, which indeed I did, but I didn't want him to die... who would I have to call a faker then? Sonic blinked open his eyes, "oh my head!" he groaned and weakly reached up to rub the spot where the robot had squeezed. "Don't worry faker, you're all good." I said, lightly stroking his arm. "Shadow- آپ bastard!" he rasped. I smiled at this remark. Sonic was all better.
