Why did Stephanie take Valkyrie Cain as her chosen name? I understand the choice of Valkyrie but not Cain. TIA ☺

I've read somewhere she chose her name because of Cain (from Cain and Abel) but I am not sure.

Stephanie chose her name, Valkyrie Cain, for a couple of reasons. Stephanie felt very powerless when compared to Tanith Low یا China Sorrows, perhaps even Skulduggery, as well as all of the bad buys which kept trying to kill her. She didn't like being weak and wanted to be strong, so she chose a figure of female strength for her first name, a "Valkyrie." Her last name is a little مزید intimate in origin and stems from a تبصرہ that Skulduggery made about how she has a "penchant for raising cain," basically meaning that she causes trouble.
