I thought she could heal people? Was it a one-time thing?

No, her powers never recovered after she used them fighting off Brainiac. And we now it's true otherwise she would have used them to save Jimmy. Besides every time she used her powers she grew weaker and almost died several times.

including the fact it took her longer each time to recover after using her empathetic healing powers everytime...nicely put JC :) ive yet to see Chloe/Brainiac آپ can say im quite looking آگے to it :)

When Braniac attacked her, a part of Braniac was inside her, and over time it grew مزید dangerous, so eventually Clark brought her to the Fortress and had Jor-el take it out and clear her memory and all that, then Braniac had gotten out and destroyed the fortress and encased Doomsday/Davis, inside the crystal in the fortress, and so anyway her powers were taken away after braniac had been inside her and then after the whole Jor-el healing thing everything was gone.
