I am not certain about good demons--although the interesting thing about this show is that it follows the Judeo-Christian construct of what is thought of as "Hell." Heaven never figures into this show at all, which makes "the boys" sort of avenging angel types. If we have free will, and presumably, so did the angels (even the fallen ones), it will be interesting to see if a demon can go "good," which would make the pantheon of demons into a more humanistic construct rather than relying on Christianity to define what is a demon and what is not. (I mean, think about it. We base our entire spirituality on a book that has no original copy, and nobody knows where the Bible even came from). I am looking forward to future shows to see which way this is going to go.

demons are demons are demons. they are a depraved bunch and are in such a deep level of depravity they cannot be good. Even if a demon helps kill others, it is all for their own selfish powerhungry reasons. sam and dean would be better off killing any demon they find instead of chatting with them, of course that wouldnt make for the interesting plot line and suspense.

The demon Dean was talking to in the basement, okay maybe she wasn't good, but she liked him enough or found him funny enough not to want to kill him. So that doesn't make her good but maybe just a touch less than evil coz it means they're capable of emotion and like you no not just straight forward get to know someone kinda like them, then don't care if they die. She cared so i dunno.. less evil?

its more of an evil and lesser evil kind of thing I think. some have fun just messing with people, and some have their fun killing. I dont know.

demons are following some rules witch basically makes them demons.I mean they lie,they are really greedy and most of all they are with the dark side so I dont think that they can be devided...(although I have read articles about season 3 & Ruby but I didnt really watched any of it...shame on me I am 1 season back!)

In Supernatural, yes. As soon as some Angels are definately NOT good.(Actually most of them duh) then some demons are probably not bad.

We've seen by now that demons are demons, even when they're pretending otherwise. Sometimes they help, but that's either out of manipulation (Ruby) or a case of my enemy's enemy is my friend (Crowley, Meg).
