Dean and Lisa wasn't a real goodbye - he could choose to go see her tomorrow if he wanted. with Jo .. she's gone forever now [unless she comes back as a ghost or Angel which I DO NOT WANT], and it's not like he can just go visit her when all of this is over.

this was kind of hard...buuutttt i cried for pretty much the whole episode when jo and ellen died so i had to pick dean-jo

and what Ally said was so very true if he really wanted to then he could just go see Lisa again.

I agree with both of you. Jo died so this was really really sad :( but he still can go see Lisa and be part of her life if he wanted to.

well Jo was a different matter. they knew she was going to die... still so sad... i miss the presence of the harvelles... i like Lisa's too.

This was more painful because it was like he was saying good bye to his own future and life he wanted.

To me, this scene felt more real. I know Jo died but I feel like if Jo had never died then Dean would never have realised how he felt about her at all. But with Lisa its always been there.

Both, but the Dean & Jo scene made me cry a river. I was seriously still weeping an hour after I'd seen the episode xD ♥

Dean and lisas didn't really feel like goodbye ... and + we had known jo since season two ... And also jos dean was staged out over a whole episode - lisas goodbye was like 3 minutes ... =( I miss jo - am I the only one who misses her?

Dean was always like a big brother to Jo, and in the end, they both knew they were never going to be together. I don't think Jo dying had anything to do with it. What if it had been the other way around? Would Jo have realized how she really felt for Dean if he'd been lying there with his guts ripped open and about to die? Did she even really love him?

When Dean went to see Lisa, he wasn't just saying good-bye to her. He was making a choice, and he was making sure he was doing the right thing. He wasn't really given a choice with Jo. He had to say good-bye to her, because they both knew she wasn't going to make it. But when Dean went to see Lisa, that was his choice. And he said it himself. Whenever he saw himself happy, it was always with her and Ben. And she knew what he was doing was serious and dangerous, and I felt like she did.

Dean with Jo was always cute, but it was something different with Lisa. So I'll go with that.
