I've always thought the casting was superb. And not just for the younger/older versions but for every character that graces the show- even if they're only there for one episode.

Most of the time, the casting of alternate actors for the same character is brilliant. I did notice once though, a few years ago, that they cast different eye colours for some characters (I think one was Bobby), and it really bugged me.
