Wolves once existed throughout much of Europe. Conflicts with humans and fears originating from religious beliefs, myths and folklore influenced human attitudes towards wolves and, as a result, wolves have been persecuted for hundreds of years. Currently, wolves are found in many European countries, although range lines are not depicted in the map above. Main prey in this region generally consists of ungulate species, including livestock. Legal status, population numbers and trends vary country to country.

Mieux de retourner à la grotte ou le bloc aura à moi.
J'ai mis mon masque et de retour sur les toits colombe hors de la rue vide en dessous.

My پسندیدہ place is among the tall, majestic redwood trees of northern California, of which I still think of as my home. But the most special place in my دل that only few I have told about, is on a cliff over looking the Pacific.
Where the trees end and the short meadow begins I have never felt مزید at peace than I did there. I sit with the trees to my back with my legs hanging off the cliff, just sitting with the cool breeze blowing against my face. I watch the waves gently lap against the ساحل سمندر, بیچ مزید than a thousand feet below me. Though it is of great height I know that I will not fall,...

THE MAKERS OF FIRE

The cub came upon it suddenly. It was his own fault. He had been careless. He had left the cave and run down to the stream to drink. It might have been that he took no notice because he was heavy with sleep. (He had been out all night on the meat-trail, and had but just then awakened.) And his carelessness might have been due to the familiarity of the trail to the pool. He had travelled it often, and nothing had ever happened on it.

He went down past the blasted pine, crossed the open space, and trotted in amongst the trees. Then, at the same instant, he saw and smelt. Before...

Transformation into wolves is a favourite subject of Irish legend, and many a wild tale is told سے طرف کی the peasants round the turf آگ کے, آگ in the winter nights of strange adventures with wolves. Stories that had come down to them from their forefathers in the old times long ago; for there are no wolves existing now in Ireland.

A young farmer, named Connor, once missed two fine cows from his herd, and no tale یا tidings could be heard of them anywhere. So he thought he would set out on a تلاش throughout the country; and he took a بولڈ, ہٹیلا blackthorn stick in his hand, and went his way. All دن he travelled...

Grizzer

Grizzer, a Great Plains subspecies of the gray wolf, was born on May 5, 2004. He is a littermate to Maya and has matured into a strong and big (120+ lb)... adult male. He was removed from the Exhibit Pack in March 2011 after the tragic loss of his littermate, Maya. It was determined that Grizzer had been losing confidence in his status and without the dominance of his littermate, he couldn't compete with the younger packmates. Grizzer is retired, but not currently living with the other retired wolves, Shadow and Malik. During the summer of 2011, an alternate enclosure is being planned...

One دن a horrible آگ کے, آگ broke out over the packs domain killing most of their number, saved سے طرف کی his mother that perched him high on a cliff before plummeting into the firey abyss below-she was never seen again. His father died also. Alone he roams; looking for a pack to call his home.

Has he found it in the anubians بھیڑیا pack? Will they accept him here? These thoughts ravage his head as he enters the anubians pack domain. He boldly steps up to take his place among the pack ranks and form a new life he can call his own.

THE CALL OF KIND

The months came and went. There was plenty of food and no work in the Southland, and White Fang lived fat and prosperous and happy. Not alone was he in the geographical Southland, for he was in the Southland of life. Human kindness was like a sun shining upon him, and he flourished like a پھول planted in good soil.

And yet he remained somehow different from other dogs. He knew the law even better than did the dogs that had known no other life, and he observed the law مزید punctiliously; but still there was about him a suggestion of lurking ferocity, as though the Wild still...

THE GOD'S DOMAIN

Not only was White Fang adaptable سے طرف کی nature, but he had travelled much, and knew the meaning and necessity of adjustment. Here, in Sierra Vista, which was the name of Judge Scott's place, White Fang quickly began to make himself at home. He had no further serious trouble with the dogs. They knew مزید about the ways of the Southland gods than did he, and in their eyes he had qualified when he accompanied the gods inside the house. بھیڑیا that he was, and unprecedented as it was, the gods had sanctioned his presence, and they, the dogs of the gods, could only recognise this sanction....

THE SOUTHLAND

White Fang landed from the steamer in San Francisco. He was appalled. Deep in him, below any reasoning process یا act of consciousness, he had associated power with godhead. And never had the white men seemed such marvellous gods as now, when he trod the slimy pavement of San Francisco. The log cabins he had known were replaced سے طرف کی towering buildings. The streets were crowded with perils - waggons, carts, automobiles; great, straining horses pulling huge trucks; and monstrous cable and electric ears hooting and clanging through the midst, screeching their insistent menace after...

CHAPTER VI - THE LOVE-MASTER

As White Fang watched Weedon Scott approach, he bristled and snarled to تشہیر that he would not کرائیں جمع to punishment. Twenty-four hours had passed since he had slashed open the hand that was now bandaged and held up سے طرف کی a گوفن, جھلانا to keep the blood out of it. In the past White Fang had experienced delayed punishments, and he apprehended that such a one was about to befall him. How could it be otherwise? He had committed what was to him sacrilege, sunk his fangs into the holy flesh of a god, and of a white-skinned superior god at that. In the nature of things, and...

THE INDOMITABLE

"It's hopeless," Weedon Scott confessed.

He sat on the step of his کیبن and stared at the dog-musher, who responded with a shrug that was equally hopeless.

Together they looked at White Fang at the end of his stretched chain, bristling, snarling, ferocious, straining to get at the sled-dogs. Having received sundry lessons from Matt, کہا lessons being imparted سے طرف کی means of a club, the sled-dogs had learned to leave White Fang alone; and even then they were lying down at a distance, apparently oblivious of his existence.

"It's a بھیڑیا and there's no taming it," Weedon Scott announced....

THE MAD GOD

A small number of white men lived in Fort Yukon. These men had been long in the country. They called themselves Sour-doughs, and took great pride in so classifying themselves. For other men, new in the land, they felt nothing but disdain. The men who came ashore from the steamers were newcomers. They were known as CHECHAQUOS, and they always wilted at the application of the name. They made their روٹی with baking-powder. This was the invidious distinction between them and the Sour-doughs, who, forsooth, made their روٹی from sour-dough because they had no baking-powder.

All of which...

THE ENEMY OF HIS KIND

Had there been in White Fang's nature any possibility, no matter how remote, of his ever coming to fraternise with his kind, such possibility was irretrievably destroyed when he was made leader of the sled-team. For now the dogs hated him - hated him for the extra meat bestowed upon him سے طرف کی Mit-sah; hated him for all the real and fancied favours he received; hated him for that he fled always at the head of the team, his waving brush of a tail and his perpetually retreating hind-quarters for ever maddening their eyes.

And White Fang just as bitterly hated them back. Being...
