My current شبیہ might be a clue...that I'm going to count the فلمیں since TPatF.
My current icon might be a clue...that I'm going to count the movies since TPatF.
Walt Disney اندازی حرکت has been on a roll for the past several years, and for me, none of these حالیہ فلمیں has disappointed. I'm a پرستار of most of them, and today I'm going to be counting down my پسندیدہ of the era. This is not a فہرست of which ones I think are the best; these are the ones that I personally get the most enjoyment from watching and those that stick out the most in my mind.

8. Winnie the Pooh, 2011
While I thoroughly enjoyed the studio's two گزشتہ films, I didn't see a need to check this out in theaters. Even so, I was curious about it and caught it online within a سال of its release, and ever since, I've found this to be a very charming movie. It takes the characters we all know and love and gives them a simple story, but really, these characters make the movie. The way they work off one another and propel this story is plain fun to watch. And with that comes some innocent though genuinely funny jokes. There are a couple of scenes in particular that stick out in my mind for the clever wordplay. The film also comes with easygoing songs, with a couple of standouts. "The Backson Song" is catchy and has some of the best rhymes of any Disney song, and "Everything is Honey" is soothing and very well-animated. Winnie the Pooh is a perfectly sweet movie that I honestly think could be enjoyed سے طرف کی all ages. It is just difficult to compete with the others of the era, which have مزید complex stories and deeper messages.

7. Tangled, 2010
Rest assured, I like Tangled quite a bit. The advertising originally turned me off from this movie, but truly آپ can't knock something until آپ try it. Once I got around to watching, it became a favorite. The story is flowing and knows how to keep the stakes raised, but it's not until the سیکنڈ half when it goes from being a good movie to a great movie. Here, we really get to see how much of an impact the characters have had on each other. The real دل of the movie comes from our two main leads, Rapunzel and "Flynn," who upon setting out on this adventure realize how much مزید there is to life when they're with the other person. It leads to "I See the Light," one of the most beautiful musical sequences we've ever gotten from Disney. Also of mention is "Mother Knows Best," our main villain song which shows Gothel's manipulation of Rapunzel, who she tries to convince it's right to stay put in the tower. There are great dynamics, even with the film's side characters, giving us a delightful fairytale film that's beloved سے طرف کی many. While I do enjoy this movie, it sometimes seems bland when I think about it in hindsight. That's not its fault, but this is part of the reason why other films rank higher up.

6. Wreck-It Ralph, 2012
This is practically neck-at-neck with Tangled, but it got a slight edge for me. I downright loved this movie the first couple times I watched it. The novelty has worn off a bit, but not drastically, as it is still a movie that I enjoy. Wreck-It Ralph is certainly the most creative Revival film in my eyes, delving into the retro and modern gaming world through the video game characters. Ralph himself is a humorous and lovable protagonist who meets Vanellope, another misfit. The two must team up if they hope to turn their own lives around, but they develop a solid and endearing friendship along the way. It of course has the most emotional impact on Ralph, who as a result of it embraces his role in his game and finds happiness in himself. The road isn't without its bumps, though. Ralph makes a tough decision, and آپ can see the heartbreak of both characters. Vanellope's reasoning is very clear, but what I love about Ralph himself is that this is the one person who's ever really shown to appreciate him for something he did, and the only true friend he's had. Now he's lost it, and returns ہوم already not appearing as happy as he thought he'd be. The other characters are also fun on screen and perfectly voice-cast, and there are other great dynamics as well. One of my پسندیدہ now is the subtle kind of acquaintance-ship/friendship between Ralph and Felix, where the two become مزید understanding as the movie continues. And as آپ might expect, the movie fully immerses itself in the video game environment. The setup is excellent and instantly stuck out to me when I first watched it, and there are fun references sprinkled all throughout. This movie has its fans, and آپ can count me as one of them.

5. Moana, 2016
This is a movie I was excited to see...two years before release, so it took a few rewatches to know for sure if I liked Moana. What I love about this movie is how connected it feels. The عنوان character is "chosen" سے طرف کی the ocean to set out and find Maui, a figure of Polynesian mythology who gave the humans coconuts, fire, and of course islands! It's how underappreciated he feels that prompts him to take the دل of Te Fiti, who in turn sucks the life out of the ocean until it's so bad, Moana has to step in. Moana herself is an easy to like character whose struggle lies between being a good chief to the island she loves, یا adventuring out to the sea. But to me, she seems to always hit the right notes. She's fun, quick-thinking, but doesn't know everything, sometimes doubts herself, but gets the courage to try again. She feels a little too perfect even with her flaws. I think I only feel this way because she didn't turn out quite as I imagined a few years ago. One other thing that bugs me is the sense of humor, which sometimes makes me think this movie is less timeless than it probably should be. If my nitpicking is annoying, don't worry, that's all I had to say. I otherwise quite enjoy this movie. The soundtrack I've grown to really like; the songs are excellent and reflect the culture well, as does the score. Everyone's gushed over the animation, so just take their word for it, it's great. And the climax and resolution together make up one of the greatest and greatest-looking endings to a Disney film. I've got my own problems with this movie but the good aspects are so strong, it tops the گزشتہ films on the list.

4. Big Hero 6, 2014
After Frozen, I quickly built up excitement for Disney's اگلے animated feature and had to watch Big Hero 6 on opening day. It's secured itself as one of my سب, سب سے اوپر Disney movies. I find all of the characters who make up the team easy to like. Hiro is definitely one of my پسندیدہ of the era. One of the best aspects of the movie is how it shows him dealing with loss over Tadashi (who, again, is super likable). Hiro first learns the wrong way, but after a heartfelt scene with him and Baymax, he learns how to do so in a healthy way with the support of his دوستوں -- a great contrast to our villain's approach. And of course, Baymax is a lot of fun. The friendship between him and Hiro is endearing, and آپ see the impact he has on Hiro overcoming his sadness. The climax still gets me watery-eyed and shows how far Hiro has come. Throughout the movie, there is (are?) great humor and fun action scenes that دکھائیں off Disney's ever-improving animation. The hybrid setting San Fransokyo is undoubtedly fun, but it would have been nice to explore it a bit more. Nevertheless, Big Hero 6 is a movie I really like for its heartfelt message, fun characters, and unique place alongside the fairytale and musical adaptations in the animated canon.

3. Zootopia, 2016
Zootopia is the Revival film that I'd say is closest to perfection. It has a great setup, following Judy as she enters Zootopia as the first rabbit police officer. It seems that she won't be taken seriously until opportunity presents itself as a case for her to solve. She teams up with Nick, and these guys are one of my پسندیدہ of the "two lead characters" in the era. This movie handles the "not liking each other at first" setup very well. As the movie goes on and the case gets مزید intense, آپ see the two learning from and acknowledging the good in one another. آپ WANT to see them as good friends! The voicework and اندازی حرکت for both of them is سب, سب سے اوپر notch. Also, the mystery they're solving is not only interesting, but as the world knows, it brings to light certain themes that tie into our own society. It gets just the right amount of focus and shows the impact on our two main leads and the rest of Zootopia. I've also got to mention the comedy, because this movie has some of the best jokes and one golden scene that everyone who's seen it would know about. I really like the inside jokes, both of which (coincidentally) tie into Frozen in clever ways. I find Zootopia to be an engaging movie and one of Disney Animation's strongest offerings.

2. Frozen, 2013
It may have been exploited to death, but Frozen is a movie I'll always hold close because this is the most excited I've ever been for a movie to come out. The summer of 2013, I built so much anticipation that I counted down the days leading up to its release, and made a beeline for any new مضمون یا trailer about it. After a few مزید viewings, Frozen became a film that I love. Despite its flaws, I get sucked into this movie almost immediately. The opening score, "Vuelie," sets itself up as something of an epic, sort of along the lines of The Lion King and its acclaimed introduction. "Frozen Heart" takes it one step further and foreshadows the narrative through song form, which to me again shows that the film is fully invested in itself and has something great in store for us. And to me, it does indeed. The relationship between sisters Anna and Elsa is the core of the movie. Elsa isolates herself because of her fear from her own magic, much as she'd love to welcome Anna back into her life. Even after all those years, Anna loves her sister and sets out to find her when she runs off in fear. When Elsa recognizes how much her sister loved her in the end, it's a pretty heartfelt moment, and their love is what saves the day. It's not only great for Disney and subverting old tropes, but it goes to دکھائیں how powerful love can be, as it has a huge impact on both of their lives. One other way they دکھائیں this is through the music, and I'm just going to say it, this is one of my پسندیدہ Disney soundtracks -- not just the songs, but also the score. That score is beautiful. The standouts for me are "Sorcery," when Elsa runs away after her powers get out of hand, which no joke gives me chills. The other is "Whiteout," which plays during the climax. It's chock-full of emotion and even standalone makes me want to tear up. The songs are also pretty great I think, particularly "For the First Time in Forever" and its reprise for the lovely vocals and contrast between the sisters. "Let it Go" is of course a sensation and no matter what will remain a پسندیدہ song of mine, and as I mentioned earlier I also like "Frozen Heart." Really, this film is a winner at everything for me. It's got a beautifully told and heartfelt story, enjoyable characters (including Olaf, Kristoff and Sven), gorgeous animation, and a masterful soundtrack. It isn't perfect, but it stands out to me as one of Disney's best.

1. The Princess and the Frog, 2009
And here we are! The Princess and the Frog holds the #1 spot, and the reason is because as much as I was looking آگے to Frozen, this is the movie that sparked my interest in Disney Animation. The initial previews got me thinking that Disney was going back to their Golden Age and Renaissance roots, which were films that I enjoyed watching as a kid. I was excited to see what they could do, so I had to go to theaters and learn for myself. I still remember that دن and how, upon exiting that theater, this movie became my پسندیدہ ever from Disney. It was the complete package. I enjoyed the New Orleans setting and the influence it had on the (in my opinion) amazing soundtrack, where I liked -- if not loved -- every song. I had a lot of fun with the characters, too, who just light up whenever they're on screen. And this movie LOOKS amazing. I know people on the internet these days go on and on about how much they miss the 2D style, but I'm perfectly fine with CG if the studio making the film does it justice سے طرف کی just making it look great and/or سے طرف کی improving the medium. Disney has been doing just that since Tangled. But yes, in the case of The Princess and the Frog, I'm a little surprised traditional اندازی حرکت has been so quiet these last few years, as this movie shows that they have mastered the art. The colors pop, the designs are fun, and everything flows so smoothly. It's never been better.
Now in terms of story, the movie is a little all over the place. It's just not as easy to follow as some of the مزید straightforward narratives like Beauty and the Beast یا Tangled. But it doesn't bother me so much when watching because of the fun characters and the great message. I like how this movie introduces us to something Disney rarely touches on, but also gives a forewarning: It's good to work hard, but don't let it distract آپ from what truly matters in life. As a result, we get a pretty beautiful relationship between Tiana and Naveen. Now before going futher, I do think it's a little rushed. For Disney standards of romance, I think we're missing one scene that would make their love for each other مزید believable. Tangled has just this scene: the kingdom dance, with that one very pretty instrumental. That's what this movie lacks, but again, I can overlook it because of how much they learn from each other. Tiana learns to welcome love and happiness into her life, and Naveen not only learns that wealth has little meaning, but is also inspired to make something of himself after learning the value of hard work from Tiana. It's great to see that the other person introduces them to the life lesson they must learn, and how they find that fulfillment from each other specifically. If it isn't already clear, I love this movie, and I can't imagine it being topped سے طرف کی another film anytime soon. This is the one that, after blowing me away, got me excited for what Disney had to offer next.
