Here I am again with مزید opinions to report. ;) This time I decided to give my input on the ever famous Bloom vs Icy debate.

Over on the most حالیہ (as of 6/6/14) Bloom vs Icy سروے I ended up leaving an مضمون long تبصرہ backing my choice. I decided to retype that here and add even مزید opinions. Enjoy. And no I am not trying to offend Bloom fans

The only reason I think Bloom wins any fight is because she as 1.) مصنف bias on her side and 2.) The 'the main character always wins' rule on her side. If she were any other character--particularly a villain, her fighting skills would be a big joke.

In regards to مصنف bias; it is so clear to see that Inigo (sp?) favors Bloom. It's in the promos and the over-load of her. So of course she's always gonna win and 'be the most powerful'. I'm not one to disagree with the مصنف but come on--this is the man who کہا (and I don't mean to hate on her, she's cool) Flora is the 2nd most powerful. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Inigo always gave the impression that Stella held that position. I don't really even like her and I can see that. So I think it's fair to say that just because Inigo says Bloom is the almighty, all powerful doesn't mean it's true. As an aspiring مصنف myself, nothing makes me madder than to see an مصنف clearly favoring one character to the others. That is what makes for a Sue. And that favoritism is why Bloom always wins. It's not about her being مزید powerful, it's her being مزید liked.

And naturally she has 'the main character always wins' on her side. That's a given. Authors simply do not like it when the bad guys win. So of course Bloom will always beat Icy in the end, that's a typical rule of most any form of entertainment. It's the fights in between that really count when gauging who the مزید powerful is. The fights in between are the ones that are fair. The ones that don't really have the miracle solution because not much is at stake.

Frankly I don't care how many times the creators say Bloom is the most powerful--she's not, the dragon آگ کے, آگ is. Without it she is nothing. She is very naive and easy to manipulate. She would have died in episode 2 if not for Stella. She usually doesn't hold up well without the rest of her team to help her. And when she lost the dragon آگ کے, آگ she was defeated so easily. She gave up so easily too. Whereas in the حالیہ episode when the others lost their powers they were still able to fight and do so well.

Taken from my article; without her دوستوں Bloom is noting. She's helpless and can't do a darn thing. No joke, Icy would've killed her in episode two (ya know when she froze her in a block of ice after getting caught spying). Stella was the only reason her arse wasn't frozen solid. Not to mention she was totally helpless without her silly dragon fire, all she did was cry and sulk. "Omg I lost my magic what am I gonna do?" Seriously what kind of leader just gives up like that? Hearing her mope was infuriating. It's like, hello, quite moping and do something about it! She's the same way with her not knowing her true background. Instead of moping about how she doesn't know who she is she should've actually done something about it! I know for a fact that if Icy didn't know her history she would actually try to uncover it insread of crying. But no, all throughout season one it was 'but I don't know who I really am' 'who am I where do I come from' 'am I even a fairy'. To make things worse her confusion made her pathetically easy to manipulate; the trix and Mrs. Griffen successfully got her to think she was a witch, and that her parents were the ancestral witches. Talk about gullible.

I'd like to highlight the fact that Icy would have killed her in episode two and then promptly add that she would have done so again in season 1 in the episode where she turned Mirta into a pumpkin. Again, it was Stella who came to her rescue. And if I remember right she almost killed her again in season 2 (the episode where the first encounter the Trix again). This time it was Avalon who saved them all--particularly Bloom, he went and healed her and took down the Trix who totally had the upper hand in that one.
Let's not forget that in season 5 the Trix totally had the lilo یا whatever. The only reason they lost was because the Winx got literally the whole town to go against 3 people.
My sparkling point is; Bloom and the Winx usually only beat the Trix out of sheer luck یا with help. Any time the Trix almost win, some third party یا miracle solution comes to fix it especially with Bloom.

So let's take a look at what happens without those two factors; season 1 episode 18. Icy kicked Bloom's butt! She won. Why, because the مصنف finally gave her the lower-hand and finally didn't have a third party, another Winx, یا a 'plot-twist' to come to her aid. That's just something I've come to notice. The Trix win when it's a fair (not six vs 3+) fight. And when Icy faces Bloom alone, she usually comes out on top. Take season 1 episode 9 for instance (the magical reality thing) they kicked her butt, they successfully got her to use the dragon آگ کے, آگ which was their plan the whole time. Things like that.

Going back to the whole miracle solution thing; I strongly believe that the only reason Bloom won in the season finale was because of one of those. Icy totally won--she got the dragon fire. But surprise surprise, here comes the miracle; there were two dragon fires! Excuse me, what? No. Bloom should have had to take it back fair and square, but she got the easy way out. Icy would have won. If we're talking fair-played no 'awesome' plot-twist, Icy would have won that one.

Personality is another biggy. Bloom vs Icy in regards to quitting. Bloom has ran away twice now for messing up; once after ruining that thing at Red فاؤنٹین, چشمہ and once in season 6. Bloom is constantly quitting and giving up. Whereas Icy, despite losing in 4 season finales, still hasn't done so. Icy doesn't quit when she wants something she keeps going for it. When Bloom feels pressured she cracks.

Icy is confident. She always was, from the very beginning. Bloom still seems rather insecure--and unreasonably so considering she's 'the most powerful ever'. That alone is a pretty big deciding factor. If neither of them had powers یا help I think confidence alone would lead Icy to win.

As mentioned above, Bloom is nothing without her Dragon Fire.

But enough about Bloom. Let's talk about Icy for a few minutes. This woman is fierce! As I کہا before, she is confidant and never gives up. But something new; she's willing to take on tasks that are above her skill-level rather than below it. She will and has willingly taken on all six Winx and the Specialists at once in season 2. That takes a lot of nerve. Most people would run away when so largely out numbered. She did not. And this happened on many occasions. She took down all of pixie village سے طرف کی herselfk. In one of the first few episodes of season 3 she was alone and fighting pretty much all of the Winx. She's taken on Griffin (someone she knows is مزید powerful than she. Yes I do think the professors are naturally the strongest characters) on many occasions. Again, that takes balls.

Which leads to the اگلے point. Icy is brave. If she enters these things knowing very well what's at stake and still goes for it, that's saying something. And up until the disappointment that was seasons 5 and 6, she never cried to anyone for help and she never really fled from a fight. She stuck it out and she did it either on her own یا with Darcy and Stormy. And even with them, she didn't rely on them to save her. The Trix don't rely on each other to fight for each other. They don't have to.

Also can we discuss that 1.) She summoned an army of rot and decay. Centuries of it. And 2.) She very well was super close to taking over the world 4 times now. Getting even close to world domination is a pain in the butthole for most characters. She did it 4 times over.

And last but not least; Icy has taken a lot of abuse. She is tough. Season after season she has been put through a lot of crap.
- Knocked out in the finale
- Tossed into a strange dimension سے طرف کی Darkar
- Tossed into a lake and turned into a kid
- Inside a collapsing building which flooded (in season 2 'Last Resorts')
- The whole thing with the queen of perfection
- And a crap ton مزید that I can't even begin to فہرست off
And here she is, still going for it. Still alive. And still really powerful, brave, and unwilling to give up. She is tough.

Sheer power isn't the only factor as everyone seems to believe. So many people are quick to hit the Bloom choice simply because the woman has the all powerful (cheat code I like to call) Dragon Fire. Take that out and add in all these other factors and see who wins.
