Chapter 3
The interview
Approximately two days and we were off. Ashlynn was excitedly working on the script and Sasha was helping with the budget that the teacher just wouldn’t help with. Even with Fern’s influence she still didn’t trust us, maybe a little bit more, but still not that much. We were still undecided about the whole interviewing thing-y so we’ve just been searching on the internet and getting some old released police records.
“Okay, so the horror گھنٹہ is looking pretty good,” Sasha mutters as she skims the pages we’ve got done. “Surprising, I thought you’d suck, Ashlynn.”
“Shut up!” Ashlynn snapped, snatching back the papers. “I’ve got a lot of work to do, don’t bug me.”
“Whatever,” Sasha said, walking to a seat.
RT frowned. “Don’t we have to write a boring رپورٹ too, cause the video’s our visual?”
Lila shrugged, “I don’t know.” She smiled at him sweetly. “But since آپ suggested it start writing.”
“No! I’m just saying!”
“And I’m telling,” Lila says, giving him paper and pencil. “Unless آپ prefer typing.”
It’s funny how a whole of two days can bring an oddly like of group of دوستوں together, we already had crack jokes and what-not. And now, there’s no holding back our insults, because it doesn’t hurt. Maybe it’s because most of us were a bunch of loners, یا maybe because were just friendly and easily welcoming.
Fern snatched the papers out of RT’s hands. “Let the nerd do it.”
“Hey Leader!” Chauncey called out.
“It’s Lewis.” I say, coming to her.
“Yeah whatever, anyways Leader should I research more, I should I just…”
“Well…what do we know so far?”
It’s a rhetorical question, because everyone who’s lived in this town for مزید than a سال knows, but Chauncey جوابات me anyway. “Nothing, this guy’s a ghost, no DNA, no…nothing, nothing whatsoever.”
“Surprising,” I say sarcastically. “Anyway, maybe we can keep searching.”
Chauncey shrugged. “I was thinking of going to the police station, asking them, آپ know, مزید easier for our project.”
“And they won’t suspect?” I ask, critically.
“I’ll bring a camera to record everything, come on Leader! Let’s find out the masked killer, we could unmask him.”
“I don’t know,” I say doubtfully. “The last time kids asked police, with یا without a camera, they got arrested.”
Chauncey grinned at me. “But they didn’t have conformation from their teacher, did they?”
I smile, getting what she’s hinting at. “Then I guess we should do it?”
“Um…what?” The police officer asked again, squirming.
“What did آپ do? Did آپ تلاش for clues یا what-not?” Ms. Arthur asked.
Jordan squirmed, and Lila looked like she wanted to ask something, but not with the teacher here. What happened? Well, it was surprising when she کہا yes, however, I did expect her finding a way through it. She was her to ‘chaperone’, which in her language meant to follow us there, ask all the questions, and act like it was her project. Each time we tried to ask something she would shush us and make it seem like we were stupid, upon inspection it looked like she made the police مزید uncomfortable.
“Well is there anything-”
“Excuse me Ms. Arthur?” Lila said, unable to control herself, gave her a dashing smile. “But can I please interrupt for a second.”
“No actually I’m-”
“Why thank you, lovely teacher.” She smiled again. “Um, anyway, آپ کہا that there appeared to be no DNA on the victim, can آپ explain that to us please?”
The police man, looking relieved nodded. “Yes, of course, when we examined the body there appeared to be nothing from the killer left on the victim, it was crystal clean.”
I could see Chauncey zooming the camera in, excited for something remotely interesting happening.
Lila nodded, looking like a reporter. “Crystal clean? Hmm, well, we all know who the victim is, was there anything else strange?”
The police nodded. “Well, it seems like all the victims had some sort of link یا connection, like a pattern with the killer, as if there was an important reason as to why the killer did this. And all of his victims were usually clean, none of there stuff with them that they had when they left.”
“And آپ کہا they were crystal clean,” Ashlynn murmured. “No marks, as if they were literally cleaned.”
The police man nodded. “This person…is very clever, they know what there doing, they know how to play just right.”
“Um…okay. Can I ask one مزید question?” فرن, فارن said, even looking reader to add Mr. in it.
“Yes, of course.”
“Do آپ think the killer’s still here?”
The police man froze at a lost for words, there was a pause before he spoke. “For your guys sake, I hope not. But I wouldn’t think there not here, but let me tell آپ one thing, all of his victim’s were young, and all were for a reason, it has to be in what we found. And if you’ve got guilty conscience you’ll be اگلے on his never ending فہرست of victims.”

This is what آپ call the Earth
This is what people call the world
This is what we call life
We can't go on pretending دن سے طرف کی day
That good things will always happen
Stormy days will come, it's not a miracle
But the storm will end soon, and all will be clear again
Heavy rain's crashing against my windowsill
I think, when will this ever stop?
The thunder's crashing against the trees outside
Today's not going to be a fine day, but it will end
I woke up this morning and guess what I saw
Bright sunny mornings with a clear future
No one's gonna stop me from believin
The rain stopped and the future's bright again
Good and bad create our lives
We can't pretend that everything's gonna always be alright
It's hard to think that something's gonna be wrong
But it's the truth, the whole truth.
We can't go on دن سے طرف کی دن pretending
Everything's gonna be alright
But we know that sunny days will come out
Soon یا later.
