Does anyone know why in the movie when edward asked bella if she was enjoying the whether she acted like a spas?

I truly belive that she was in shock that he was talking to her at all. The book I belive says she was shocked he was asking her about the weather. I already read all four books. My mom boroughed the first book so I started reading the سیکنڈ book again. I watch for it when I read the first book again.
