Twilight Series سوال

Turning into a vampire meant sacrificing everything... (Read details)

If آپ haven't read Breaking Dawn, then I don't think آپ could really answer this سوال to its full potential...

Turning into a vampire meant sacrificing everything... Do آپ really think Bella sacrificed everything? I saw a تبصرہ on fanpop about Bella sacrificing her family and دوستوں and human life. And that hit the debater in me. Think really hard. Did she really give up everything? Maybe her mortality, but if you've read Breaking Dawn, she was still able to see everyone she loved who was human.

Blaming Bella for choosing wrong, either for Edward یا for becoming a vampire, is invalid. She never gave up anything! Just a heartbeat! Her decision for becoming a vampire, to be with Edward, lost alot of it's weight, because of that fact. The phrase "it's the thought that counts" applies to this situation I think, but...

What do آپ think? Do آپ believe she gave up everything?

No, I don't think she did, but I think she SHOULD have. The whole point that made their love مزید 'special' was that she DID have to sacrifice things to be with Edward. And I still believe the argument that she should have stayed with Jacob as she could still live a normal, human life is relevant, because that's what Stephenie always said. She کہا vampires cannot have children, and Bella, as a newborn... Well, that was ridiculous.

However, she did still sacrifice things. Shye's still gonna have to stop seeing her family and friends, they're gonna realise she's not aging.

LOL we've already touched on this when we PMd. She was intentionally going to sacrifice everything. She made her choice. She chose to be with Edward. She chose to sacrifice everything for him. Her humanity, her family, and friends. Stephenie, however, finished Bella's story that contradicted everything she has established in the گزشتہ books. Being a vampire is a tragedy. Sacrificing so much, usually unwillingly. But, when آپ say, "still sacrifice things". In Breaking Dawn, Charlie knows something's up. I'm sure he would tell Renee. And the only friend that she would think about seeing again, was Angela. Let's face it, Bella didn't really fit in with the humans. Other than that, I don't see her ever seeing her "friends" at school. Idk, her choice, like I've کہا before, lost all it's meaning when Stephenie wrote Breaking Dawn. And, again... it infuriates me! LOL

Agreed. To be honest, I find it impossible to debate the کتابیں if the plot of BD is included. The characters, the dynamic, ideas are all so different to the other three that it's hard to consider them together.

I dont believe she really gave up anything....and as it was کہا سے طرف کی others and سے طرف کی Bella herself....it was like she was meant to be a vampire. She will always be young...she will always be beautiful...she has the love of Edward forever....she has the daughter that she risked her life for... she still had her best friend...the love of the Cullens...the love of "most" of the wolves...she even got to keep Charlie and I believe in time she would have gotten Rene and Phil back.

I think what she did give up...her human life...pales in comparison to what she gained. And she's not clumsy anymore...total bonus! lol

In the books, I don't recall Bella ever saying she was meant to be a vampire. She was meant to be with Edward, but not a vampire. I don't remember that at all. If آپ have the page number, I would gladly rethink my conclusion. But, I agree with the rest of what آپ said. "pales in comparison to what she gained"... she was supposed to lose everything for Edward. But BD ruined that image. :)

I dont have my copy of Breaking Dawn with me but its in there...after she changes,,,she says something about how she was glad to be a vampire that she had finally found her place in the world. And even though I love آپ mandapanda...you know I'm gonna have to disagree with you...Breaking Dawn in my opinion was the best book in the series...but then I am a sucker for a happy ending. :)

haha I know where آپ stand when it comes to Breaking Dawn. :) no worries. It's okay if we disagree with that. Everyone either likes it and doesn't :) This just happens to be something we don't agree on :)

I dont think she gave up anything. Breaking Dawn is basically a book about Bella finally getting EVERYTHING she wanted and things she didnt know shed want. Even Stephenie confirmed this book was about the coming of Bella. She gets the man she wants, a baby of her own, something no other vampire could have, gets to keep Jake in her life, as well as hang out with the werewolves with no repercussions, her dad knows her secret so he can always see her now, she has the perfect family, and shes rich. If thats sacrifice, i wish i could get it.
