With all that kissing, how come Bella wasn't poisoned with Edward's venom?

The only way the vampiric venom can enter Bella's blood stream and "poision" her is if Edward breaks her skin. While kissing they have to be careful, I'm sure, but as long as he don't break the skin there's no way for her to be poisioned.
