Twihards, Freak Out: The 6 New ‘Twilight’ Mini-Movies Have Finally Been Revealed
Today’s our lucky day, fellow Twihards — the six (!) “Twilight” mini-movies that were announced last September have officially been revealed, and let’s just say you guys
revealed the list of the six winning screenplays that will make up “The Storytellers: New Voices of Twilight Saga” project, which found female writers and directors contributing screenplay ideas for short films that would expand the franchise. There were 1,200 submissions to the project, but judge Stephenie Meyer — along with Lionsgate, Women In Film, Facebook and Volvo — have officially chosen their final six.
Here are the winners with some brief details, and be sure to check Tongal’s contest page for the full screenplays, which will be posted Tuesday night (February 3):
“The Groundskeeper” by Sarah Turi Boshear: “Follows Alice and the events that led to her becoming a vampire.”
“Sunrise” by Alanna Smith: “Tells Benjamin’s story.”
“Turncoats” by Lindsey Hancock Williamson: “About Garrett and Carlisle during the Revolutionary War.”
“The Mary Alice Brandon File” by Kailey and Sam Spear: “Focuses on Alice’s human life before she became a vampire.”
“Consumed” by Cullyn Doerfler & Megan L. Reese. “Tells Jane and Alec’s story.”
“We’ve Met Before” by Thea Green: “All about Alice and Jasper’s first meeting.”

Wow, that's a lot of Alice. I'm a bit surprised they don't focus on more characters in these mini prequels.

I love Alice and it will be interesting to see her background as a human and her life prior to becoming a Cullen, since it wasn't addressed much in the books and completely left out of the movies altogether

It's a bit weird that they couldn't fit all of that into one with time skips, though, or even two. I guess I'm trying to say that I wish there was more variety.

I also like that there is a Benjamin back story and a Carlisle and Garrett one,and even though I don't like Jane and Alec,it'll be interesting to see their story too

The Benjamin one does interest me. And the Jane and Alec one - is it the same story as is apparently on the Twilight Lexicon? A friend told me a bit about that story.
