Stephenie Meyer was so upset by the leaking of the partial draft that she doesn't feel she can write as well as she was anymore, so Midnight Sun has been postponed indefinitely! Which I think we can all agree sucks...Stephenie was nice enough to post the partial draft on her website so no one would have to access the illegal copy.

No way in the world am I reading that partial draft!!!! Because one, I would feel as though I was one of the people that leaked it if I stooped to their level. Two, I don’t want to violate her control as author of it like that, even if she did post it for everyone to freely read, it’s not what she wanted them to read. Three, it's not completed. What fun is it to read it when it's not finished?!?! Course now because of the *insert preferred word here* person who leaked it, it may never be finished...Four, again, it’s not the version she wanted her fans to read. It’s unedited and rough. I want to read only what she's finished and edited, and approved. If me not reading the partial draft means I will never read more of Midnight Sun than the original chapter she posted, then so be it. I can live with that. I’ll be curious to know what it’s like, but I can have good self control when I want it. It’ll probably be the saddest days of my life so far if she never publishes it. I want a copy to keep my copies of the rest of the books company. I want to read it on a written paper, not on a computer screen. Wow, I really have to learn to rein in my ranting...

Ok i just read what Stephanie said on her website!
Thats awful. At least she knows who did it!
I would have willingly waited for a year or so until it was published.
So to the people who did it i hope you're happy cos now no one gets it!!

I feel so bad for Stephenie. I chose not to read the illegal copy because I wanted to wait for the release date and to feel that excitement I got with Breaking Dawn and know because some idiot decided to spread it around we probably wont see Midnight Sun for ages if not at all. I just hope she finds the strength to carry on writing because I know she enjoys it as much as we enjoy reading it.

No she just needs some time to cool down, I mean she said that if she writes it right now she might kill everyone off....She will probably still write it and have it be as good as the other books, but she's just not going to write it now because she's really mad. I feel really bad for Stephenie though, I mean you can really tell this is hurting her. I mean so trusted someone with this and they betrayed her trust by letting it out.

I am very angry. Not with Stephenie, of course. I understand that she is upset and she has every right to be.
I'm angry with the idiots who posted stuff online! She trusted those people and they betrayed her!

I think she will finish eventually. She loves the Twilight-verse as much as we do. She just needs time to calm down and find her happy place in Forks again.

^ Me too. I havn't read it - but I'm not mad at the people who read it either, some people didn't know it was illegal. But the people who posted it.. I can't even describe how I fell about them!

I haven't read it either and I don't think I will. I'm still hoping Steph will finish it and publish it. I've always found it totally unfair when one person does something and ruins it for everyone. This is like someone doing something wrong in school ONE PERSON doing something wrong and the entire school can't do it anymore. I just feel sooo ... I don't know... cheated it a way. I've been sooo excited about Midnight Sun and now I'm just crushed. It always happens though, one person ruins it for everyone. It feels like we're being punished in a way, you know?

I read the manuscript, and to the utter dissapointment i had suspected, it was soo soo good that it left me CRAVING more.
That idiot that released the manuscript is a discusting thief and now we all have to suffer.

I think its kind of ironic how whoever did this wanted to read it so bad and wanted everyone else to read it so they put the partial stuff online.. and now we'll never get to see the whole thing. It makes me mad, and I feel so bad for Stephenie because she was obviously so upset by it. I hope that sometime in the future she'll be able to finish with out killing everyone and I hope that whoever did this is happy.

It hate that thats all we get because someone had to be a jerk. Thanks to them no meadow scene... no first time edward spent the night with bella and she knew it....no fight scene... no prom... But as upset as I am I still love and support SM. If I were her I would do the same thing. I still hope she finishes it, even if it's only online, but if she doesn't I'm still greatful she gave us 12 chapters.

what kind of decent twilight fan would betray Stephenie Meyer in such a way? its ATROCIOUS and i hope whoever is responsible for this is happy with angering millions of people.
i for one hope she relents and relases it.. or, at least, another book about the Cullens somewhere along the line. i wont bereading the draft though for many reasons already stated by others.
