I didn't hate Bella in Twilight. I found her annoying and stupid in dangerous situations. This is how Bella's mind work: "Oh, crap. I'm lost. Hey, look! A dark alley!! I'm gonna walk down it!!!" She'd be dead and I'd be happy if Edward had just given into his natural instinks(sp?), but then their wouldn't be a book and I wouldn't have fallen in love with Edward so, she has served some small perpose.

New Moon

Ok, I'll admit it, I cried while I realized what Edward was gonna do, I cried when he did it, and I cried after he was gone. So... 70 pages total of crying, but not for Little Miss Swan. I cried cuz I felt like Edward had left me.

Then all stuff with poor Jacob, he held her together better then she held her stuff together though almost all of that damn book, then its all "I've gotta save Edward! Be back later bestest bubby!!" can anyone say *gr*? And let us not forget the "I'm gonna go cliff diving without my werewolf pal!" Gasp! Bella is dead... oops... Rosalie spilled the beans a little early on that one...

While in Italy, Bella is shocked to find that the Volturi's little secrtary(sp?) wants to be "like them", news flash! So does she!!! Then once "Romeo" is saved what does brain dead "Juilet"(sp?) say when he pops "THE QUESTION"?!?!?! "What's the punch line?" and "Be serious, Edward"

Any true Edward or Jacob fan should be up in arms by this point, but it gets better!!!

Eclipse

This is the book that sent me over the edge.

Bella wants to keep the old relationship with Jake alive, though she knows he wants more then that, and through the whole bloody book he says that she loves him... OMG!!! He was right! Go Jacob! 5 points and a cookie to the fluffy wolf!!! Edward, I'm sorry, I love him to death and beyond, but Bella has done something to his brain at this point and he was way too understanding during all of this crap!

Backstabing Bella swears, vows, to never hurt Edward or Jacob again, but she turns right around and hurts both of them. At the end, she takes poor Jacob's heart and ripes it out, steps on it, then puts it back in his chest!

And not wanting to be "that girl" isn't a good enough reason to turn down Edward proposal(sp?)! Hello, its called "a long engagment"!!!!!!!! Duh!!!!!!!!!

and on a finally note....

Midnight Sun. God! I love that!!! Edward wanting to kill a room full of teenagers and a teacher just to be able to drink a few drops of Bella's blood. WHY, EDWARD, WHY DIDN'T YOU EAT HER AFTER SCHOOL!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Charlie and Rennee would've cried, the town would've been sad... then you and your lovely family could've moved to somewhere else that's rainy a lot... like my part of Va... *innocent smile*

And as far as coneting(sp?) with Bella, I'm clumsy and a book worm, and.... oh, wait! that's it. *smirk*

I liked her, she had a lot to grasp and understand and she didn't fully comprehend everything, so I forgive her for her repeated misshaps and foolishness. So I was on Bella's side in Twilight

Now she gets a little annoying. I mean sure Edward's gone, sure your heart is broken, sure you want to do anythign to hear his voice. But HONESTLY from the point he left (I cried just like Meg, cuz I was like :O he can't leave the books) but from then to when jacob started to patch her together, it was a little bit torcherous. I mean she whined for freaking ever. However, I loved Jacob, and the series and was waiting for some Edward action so this did not get to me so much.

Eclipse

GRRRR! how can you be so mean! like i totally understand that Bella is in a circumstance that (regretablely) none of us will ever be in. But what she did to Jacob and Edward was c-r-u-e-l. I was so sad for Jacob. I was like sobbing, and then edward was so understanding and she was still being all "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I won't hurt anyone again. Oh wait sorry. I just did it again. I won't do it again I promise. Oh my, sorry I think I just hurt someone again. Really I swear it won't happen ag- oh wait, sorry...blah blah blah"

So yes, I do hate what she did to Jacob and Edward, and to Charlie and the other Cullens too. But I find that I always kinda cut her some slack cuz she has a lot to deal with. but still, I think any of us would switch with her, and do such a better job. lol.

my fav. book because it started everything it's the beginning Bella had for 1 no intention on going to forks but she did for her Moms "sake" she didn't want to be in "between" Renae & Phil.. so let's go to forks w/ my loner dad.. she sais... she gets there w/ no interest at all & gets dazzled by Edward & his family...WOW what's thier story (bella got Nosy) he has no interest at all in her untill he sees that she's Fragil....2 Fragil..lol.. but it's normal right?? he always feels like protecting ppl... so why should it be any diff. here..?? whatever (moving on>>) Bio Klass > they just happened to have thier bio class 2gether! WOW he smells her doesn't want to eat her.. because if he does alll of that hard work of staying away from humans & drinking ANIMAL blood was 4 nothing!?! no! He sais!!(also not wanting 2 disapoint his "father") of corse not! he's left 2 his car 2 clear his head but he still has it in his head... soo he goes after skool to try & change his scheduale..(Bella is Oviously gonna be there every 1 know's that New Students have to go to the office at the end of the day to turn in their sighned slipps) & if any 1 read Midnight Sun... i think he could off waited a little longer he half convinced her to change his scheduale... but whatever.. he leaves blah blah blah...later he had to have gone of & tell her "i'm tyered of trying to stay away from you..." TELL ME .. doesn't that just make a gurls heart go Goo & Melt... i got bothered alot!! here!! first was the Jacob & Edward deal Jacob got on my nevers when he kissed Bella but Edward was Over protective.. well every 1 has their flaws until Edward Gave up.. WTF that is soo not an option..& Jake was being stupid w the ..." either you are w/ me or i go kill myself." WTF.. i got soo mad i hate being in between the sward & the Wall... it's soo soo unfair! i've been there soo many times & it hurts soo BAD! but anywayz.. later i give her props 4 distracting Victoria that wasnt very wise but at least she distracted Victoria.. so Edward could have an Opening..lol... to sum it up .. her crazy stunts in the second book made her like this.... if your not young & crazy how the hell are you gonna be old & wise!?! lol...

I can't believe I'm actually gonna defend Rose, but if you go and read this thing Steph wrote from her point of veiw, she just wanted Edward to come home so they could be a family again. When Alice calls her Rosalie even says "You don't honestly think he'll pull a Romeo." She just wanted things to go back to normal, wanted Emse to stop "mourning", Carlisle to stop worrying over his favorite kid, she wanted Edward back to balance out Emmett's overly happy personality. For once Rosalie was being a good sister... or so she thought. She didn't think it was right that no one was going to tell Edward about Bella.

As for Jacob, EDWARD! even gave him props for fighting that dirty. I don't blame Jake one bit! Bella is the slut that kissed him back.

And as for the "old and wise" thing. Carlisle is old and wise and he was never crazy. :P

Okay, I know I will get bashed and beaten to a pulp for writing what I'm about to write. But here goes:

I find the entire Twilight series ridiculous and pathetic.

I don't see how people can view the Bella/Edward relationship as ideal. I mean, think about it. Throughout the entire series Bella keeps moaning on about how she's not worthy of him, how he's too good for her, how he should go off and be with someone worthy, etc, etc. How screwed up is that? Do you really want to be in a relationship where you feel you're not good enough for your partner? Besides the whole low self esteem issue (which she needs to start working on PRONTO), Edward is clearly sending her some kind of vibe that she's not good enough. Is that really a healthy relationship?

Then there's the whole control-freak thing Edward has going on. In a normal (ie not fictional) relationship, if your bf/gf refuses to let you see your friends on a regular basis, GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN. Haven't you ever read any magazine articles that start off with this kind of thing and end up with the poor person having to move across the globe to get away from the ex-bf/gf-turned-creepy-stalker? Or even worse, the person ends up DEAD?? Bella is incredibly stupid for not seeing the warning signs. And yes, I know Edward is only trying to "protect" her, but not letting her leave the house is taking it a little too far. RUN BELLA, OR YOU MIGHT END UP IN A DUMPSTER IN SOME BACK ALLEY SOMEWHERE.

Speaking of which, how many back alleys does Bella have to get attacked in before she realizes that maybe it's not such a good idea to hang out there? She has absolutely no common sense. Jumping off cliffs? Riding motorcycles for the danger of it? Is she really that stupid, or just acting it? Since she clearly has no common sense, FYI, Bella: If the chances of you getting attacked/hurt/killed while doing a certain activity are medium to certain, DO NOT DO IT. Duh.

Bella is completely pathetic. I pity her. Truly I do. But she also irritates me to no end. For exaple: Throughout the first two books, she goes on and on about how much she luuurves Edward, how he's the only one for her. And so on and so forth... until around the middle of book three, when she's like, "Oooh, I love Edward, I luurve him, I luuu- oh no wait! I love JACOB TOO!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I had to listen to you moan and groan about Edward being your one and only for OVER 1000 PAGES, and now you've CHANGED YOUR MIND?? *bangs head against a wall* Make up your mind!!!

Okay, this is getting too long, so I'm going to stop now. But seriously, I feel nothing but pity for Bella. Because she was clearly born without the sense that God gave paper.

I don't think you can kill or gut or whatever a book character. I don't think anybody can comprehend why Bella does what she does, unless you've been through some of the stuff she has. She does get annoying, but that would probably happen if you get put under pressure. Sry that sounded kinda cocky.

Overall, I find her to be a decent character/person. A bit annoying sometimes, but I'm sure we all are at one point or another.

But it PISSED ME OFF when throughout most of New Moon and all of Eclipse she was too damn proud to admit that she could love someone other than Edward. She hung on to Jacob, denying it, but (because he knew her better than anyone) he knew that that she was in love with him as well, so he kept trying to make her see that! If she hadn't been on her little pedestal, she would have seen it and perhaps found a way to hurt poor Jacob less!

Ugh. But, again, other than that, I have no massive problems with her.

I was upset that she punched Jake, after he kissed her. it's like, he loves you, and you knew that, so why get upset when he takes advantage? that's why her hand broke [ sticks tongue out. ] then it pissed me off even more when she would get mad at him for saying HOW HE FELT . it's like "Child WAKE UP!" and this part ALWAYS baffled me, why was she giggling and letting Jacob in his wolf-form cuddle around her in FRONT of Edward . no matter how you look at it, that is flirting and disrespectful. then when she asked him to kiss her she had a revelation, she liked it and fell in LOVE with him. then it was like "this girl is dumb." then when she was saying her final goodbye, I cried . not for her, but for Jake; I could NOT stop crying. even when i think of it, tears come back because that pain is so real .

that's why i don't like Bella, she hurt Jacob all because she was selfish. i never would have done that .

First, I'm a writer, and I see characters as either strong and dynamic or weak and stagnant. To me, because of the fact that Bella never really tries to do anything for herself, because she falls apart when Edward leaves, because she uses Jacob to replace someone who obviously can't be replaced, because she flies halfway around the world to save someone who supposedly "doesn't want her," she is an exceptionally weak character. She actually gets worse in Eclipse, acting like a five-year-old when she's trying to be first in Jacob's life when it was clear that she didn't really want him to be first in her life. He actually had to coerce her into accepting the fact that she loved him too, even if it wasn't like that.

My cousin and I argue about this, and whether it's because she's more experienced with guys or because she's read the series three or four times, I don't know. I have my opinion and she has hers.

Bella is stagnant. She's weak. It takes other characters for her to see the confidence and radiance in herself, and a good character should be able to see those things in themselves. At least, I like my characters to strive to be something more than they actually are. That's my Point of View. And I'm sticking to it.

I hate Bella so much, it makes me want to tear my hair out. I'm an anti-Twilighter and I find the whole series pathetic but I especially hate the two main characters, Edward and Bella. For Bella, here's why:

1. Bella is a Mary-Sue. She's a self-insert of Smeyer and she has practically zero personality.

2. She's shallow. As soon as she sees the Cullens, all she can think is "beautiful, beautiful, perfect, gorgeous, omg, so pretty, etc." She completely disregards anyone unless they're super-mega-foxy-awesome-hot, which brings me to my next point.

3. She treats her friends like crap. They're very nice to her and she thinks they're all losers and beneath her. She put Jessica in danger by approaching that gang of men, but of course, Jessica is overreacting when she gets frightened and thinks something is wrong with Bella.

4. Stupidity. Bella is "smart" but do we ever see it? No, and from what we can gather, she isn't. She tried to go up against a superhuman meyerpire, win back her abusive boyfriend, thought stalking was sexy, walked down a dark alley at night (and didn't run away from the gang rapists who followed her) got pregnant at age 18, etc. Does she still sound smart to you?

5. She cares more about her boyfriend than her education. She doesn't give a crap about college, all she thinks about is "make me a vampire, make me a vampire," it's ridiculous.

6. She allows her manipulative, abusive boyfriend to control every aspect of her life, blackmail her into marriage and stalk her. She's in a very unbalanced relationship and Edward takes advantage of her... AND SHE LETS HIM!

7. She's completely dependent on a man. Edward became her ENTIRE LIFE. She didn't have any friends, apart from his sister, or any hobbies (cooking and cleaning for Charlie don't count). When Edward leaves, she becomes a - and I quote - "zombie" for 4 months, and doesn't get over him until the next hot guy comes along. She can't think for herself and she's pathetic and weak.

8. She's a brat. She has no respect for her parents. What's all this shit about asking her father's permission setting a "bad precedent"? Umm, you're 17, legally underage, and he is now your primary caregiver. Who made you god? She claims to love her mother to bits and feels like her mum is the only one who can understand her, and yet she doesn't miss her at all, never calls, only emails her because she has to, and hates letting Renee know what's happening in her life.

9. She's selfish. She keeps Jacob around, knowing she's never going to leave Edward, and continuing to get his hopes up. She toys with him, then throws him away unceremoniously when she gets sick of his "bazillion ab muscles".

10. SHE DOESN'T DESERVE ANY OF THE GOOD THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO HER! A character is meant to undergo hardships, trials and suffering to earn happiness at the end of book/movie/series/whatever. Bella doesn't work for anything, everything is just magically handed to her on a silver platter even though she's all the things I've mentioned above. There was no conflict in the books, and definitely none for Bella, it was all just smooth sailing at her end. Even if she did have to earn something, she'd just get Edwart to do it for her, because she's a worthless female and can't do anything (bullshit! Women can do anything men do, only 20 times better).

Anyway, that's ten reasons o hate Bella Swan, and now you see that hate is not strong enough a word for me.

I love Bella more than Edward! It's like I was her in my ex life! I think exactly like her, and would do exactly what she did!

well...I can't stand the most parts of bellas nature...but i don't hate her. but i hate kristen steward.
