(S02E05) Love was in the air, courtesy of Ugly Betty's newest phony website, bachelosity.com. Betty found a date, Amanda found a new way to tease Betty, and someone from Christina's past found her. Even Marc found romance! While some characters made significant progress, others (thankfully) went back to basics. Alexis remembered what being a Meade is all about, and Justin's dreaded rebellious phase is officially over! I just hope he didn't throw out his old clothes.

Betty's first rebound تاریخ wasn't with Gio after all, but with so-called NiceGuy47. I couldn't believe that NiceGuy had the nerve to bail on his تاریخ with Betty. To be fair, it wasn't the smoothest first تاریخ in history. Answering phone calls and telling bathroom stories isn't the best way to charm a man. I should hate NiceGuy, but he brought Henry and Betty closer together, so he's forgiven.
At last, Christina gets her own storyline! We had heard about her husband back in the season finale, and FishandChicks finally tracked her down online. How long will it take him to turn up at Mode? How will Christina explain where she's been this entire time? I'm guessing that a simple apology won't satisfy Stuart. I'm glad that Ashley Jensen will have مزید to do than the typical sidekick stuff. She was hilarious in Extras, and is مزید than capable of carrying a scene on her own. If Stuart is mildly attractive and has a genuine Scottish accent (I'll accept no substitutes), he's مزید than welcome to stick around.
Marc didn't need to look online for an eligible bachelor. He found two this week, a dim-witted model and an adorably scruffy photographer. Kudos to Cliff for refusing to be brushed aside, and for snapping Marc out of his superficial rut. Marc needs someone like Cliff to bring a little substance into his life and make him watch something besides High School Musical. Seriously, how could he not have seen Psycho? Cliff and Marc actually have a lot in common--same quick wit, same saint surnames. Will love make Marc lose his edge, like it did with Wilhelmina? I hope not; Cliff's way مزید of a keeper than Ted was.
Speaking of Wilhelmina, her plan to sabotage Mode continued. I love that, for her, going green was merely a way to destroy the magazine. Is it terrible that I, like Betty, would totally go for a free detergent sample? I use detergent way مزید often than I use perfume--perhaps that's a bad thing. At the moment, everything's going according to plan for Wili. The magazine will be dead in 90 days, Daniel and Bradford are on the outs, and Claire is on her way to Italy with Yoga. I was hoping for some over-the-top evil laughter from Wili, but no luck. Maybe اگلے week!
Even after Alexis got her memory back, she seemed like she wanted to maintain her relationship with Bradford. Will she hurt Daniel in order to stay close to her father? Will she ever get back in touch with her wicked side? I'm a little sick of Bradford always doubting Daniel; he's got to be the most fickle man on the planet. I'm surprised that he hasn't found a reason to dump Wili already. The rest of the Meades might be better off without him.
As quickly as he became a juvenile delinquent, Justin turned back into the sweet kid that we all know and love. Hilda also got over her new lifestyle, that of a quilting, early-bird-special-loving widow. آپ know you've hit bottom when your own father is making fun of you. The final scene between Ana Ortiz and Marc Indelicato was beautiful, and they seemed مزید like mother and son than they ever have before. Here's hoping that we get to see another drama club performance this year.
How hot was Betty's Henry hallucination? I haven't replayed a scene so much in my life. I'm so glad that Betty risked getting her دل broken and went for it. He's set to leave for Tucson (or "Tuck-son," as Kenny called it) in five months, but they could be the best five months of her life. They wouldn't be so bad for viewers, either. A lot of people believe that a دکھائیں is ruined when the romantic leads get together (see Who's the Boss, Moonlighting, etc.), but I have faith in Ugly Betty. This دکھائیں is about much مزید than will-they-or-won't-they tension. Who's with me?
Best lines of the episode:
"I've been drinking...I mean thinking. Actually, they're both right." --Claire
"I'll sign for that package." --Marc, drooling over the underwear model
"Sure, if سے طرف کی بیئر آپ mean appletini." --Marc, getting asked out for a beer
"I don't even think porn and malt liquor can heal the damage آپ have inflicted." --Kenny, on Henry's pain
"Why are آپ wearing your lucky sweater? It's not ٹیکو Tuesday." --Daniel, to Betty
"Would آپ and the Golden Girls like a snack? I've got some soft food." --Ignacio, on Hilda's new friends
"You'll have two Christmases this year. One here, and one on the lam." --Wilhelmina, to Daniel
"You don't have to go home, but آپ can't quilt here." --Hilda, finally snapping out of it
