I did see a difference in him! I saw it in the way he looked at her(HE WAS STUNNED + LOST HIS WORDS FOR A MINUTE) and she had to ask him "Is there something wrong?". And later, when he approached her and he was so ready to say something, right before her interruption!

Plus I think that Betty felt a little awkward too, because she left very quickly!"My family has prepared something for me to celebrate.." And also I can tell from the look she gave him!

And was it a coincidence that he immediately RUSHED himself to Amanda, in order to end his "affair" with her?

Anyway, we'll see in the next episodes! Truth is, you can never know what to expect!

I understand what you mean, but I don't consider him shallow, beacuse he has told her that SHE'S BEAUTIFUL in "Crush'd" and he was very honest when he said that! You could see it in his eyes! I think that he just needed a wake up call or something! Sometimes little details matter!

I remember a quote of his back in season 1: "Sometimes your heart knows things that your mind can't explain.." For me, his heart knew it all along and that's why he married a Betty-clone! Molly was even referred to as "Ugly-Duckly in one episode! It's his mind that needed a little something to see the truth!

I can't wait to see the moment when she tells him the future news! Claire knew all along that her son belongs with Betty and that's why she isn't surprised!! I think I've posted a pick question here some time ago, asking if Claire would like to see them together or something! She's such a Detty shipper!:-)

I understand what you're saying,but people tell each other they're beautiful or pretty all the time.It doesn't always mean that you like that person in that way.
The other thing is that it bothers me that Daniel was sleeping around with Amanda and still having casual sex with other women like he did in the Bahamas episode.If he really loved her he wouldn't have gone back to his old ways.I just don't think Detty is genuine-I prefer Damanda!

I don't hate you! We just perceive things differently! ;-)

Here's what I think: The fact that he hooked up with Amanda in the Bahamas instead of a random girl made me think that he does have changed in a way, cause he chose someone that at least he had some kind of communication with! Daniel wanted to distract himself from his real problems in that way.

I think that if he really wanted Amanda he wouldn't have ended their casual thing, but he would have asked her to marry him as he was appeared to have done in Betty's dream! But the fact that he did tell her to finish what they have and especially with a smile in his face after Betty left, made me think that he finally had a wake up call!That he needs more, but not from Amanda! Just pause it in 6:44!(link) You'll see the smile! And then the little sigh of relief in 7:16.

When he told her that she's beautiful, he meant it! It wasn't just a pep talk! Daniel isn't that hard to figure out as a character! When he feels something, it's all over in his face! He truly believed Betty to be beautiful!And I'm not saying that he had fell for Betty back then, he hasn't even admit it to himaelf yet! So maybe he hasn't actually realized his feelings.. But I definitely saw a change in him! And I think that this realization will come after Betty tells him that she'll leave! He won't be able to deal with this, cause he can't live without her!

Hi detty4ever!I recognize you from the ABC UB message board!It's okay we have a difference in opinion.But I think we can both agree that we hate Henry.Ugh-I hate the fact that he pops up in every season just to screw everything up.If Horta would just let him go already b/c noboby cares for Henry anyways!I hope this is the last time we see his annoying face.

He was just surprised to see her, everyone was. Heck even Wilhelmina was for a brief second. Besides I agree with sba_85 that it would make Daniel seem very shallow if the fact that Betty's braces are gone have made him realize he likes her.

i think Daniel Always have feel somthing for her,maybe not in season 1,but 2,3 and 4,he Adore her:D
