There not a vampire until they drink human blood, fledglings are killed every single day.
They have the qualities of both human and vampire, they can die like any human could and if they don't drink blood soon the vampire blood in their veins will kill them.
I use to be a fledgling but now I'm not, it's one of the reasons I faked my death. Even if though I used compulsion I still felt sick everyday I saw her face.Beautiful and fragile and a I almost ended her life.
Even miles away I could still remember the feel of blood in my mouth, full of life and light I almost couldn't stop, and I felt even worse when I remembered my best friend looking at me because I was a monster.
But she won't ever remember they both never will, unless they become a vampire. Only the strongest and oldest of vampires can compel other vampires. And I'm here to meet one of them.
