Note: Reapers a little...loopy.

Chapter Three-

"Sarah, do آپ have any idea who Reaper's اگلے target is?" Revenge asked.

"No, searching for similarities in the deaths." Sarah replied.

Revenge stood on سب, سب سے اوپر of the Empire State Building, his cape flowing in the wind, rain streaming down his now water-proof mask.

Revenge thought over his past history with the villain. Reaper's first kill had been Sam's father. His سیکنڈ اقدام had been to try to kill Superman, but he had harmed Vendicta instead. 

Revenge and Vendicta had battled Reaper for some time, and each time, Rose would be مزید harmed than Revenge. That was purely because of their short experience at the job Revenge knew, but he still blamed himself.

Reaper had then destroyed Revenge's former base. The اگلے time he struck, it was to kill Eagle, Revenge's former partner. Reaper always had a reason to kill, which was why Revenge didn't understand his حالیہ moves.

"I've got a lead." Sarah said.

"I'm listening." Revenge replied.

"All of the targets went to the same high school with Reaper. And Reaper was apparently bullied سے طرف کی these people. So he's out for revenge."

"I thought we had already established that." Revenge said.

"Everything minus the fact he was bullied and went to school."

"Now there is a shock." Revenge said, jumping off the building.

"What? That he was bullied?"

"No, that he went to school." Revenge said, shooting a grappling line at a building and swinging over to it.

"I'm looking for remaining targets, but I need to find a connection between the businessmen."

"Roger," Revenge said. His بیلٹ, پٹی vibrated and he touched his belt.

"Revenge! Come in!" Draxx's voice came over the radio.

"Revenge. What is it?" Revenge asked, hoping the radio transmitter on his بیلٹ, پٹی picked up what he had said.

"Reaper found another target. He's dead and we're pursuing him."

"What's the dead guy's name?"

"James McFreely" Draxx said. "We're on 4th and Main." 

"On my way." Revenge said. He cut the radio signal. "You get all that Watchdog?"

"Yeah, پار, صلیب referencing the name with the others now." Sarah said.

Revenge ran and jumped onto the اگلے building. He looked down the سٹریٹ, گلی and saw a bunch of police cars zooming his way. He grappled down into the street, eyeing the figure in the ڈاکو, ہڈ and cloak.

The murderer stopped in his tracks at the sight of the teen vigilante that had stopped him so many times before.

"Your killing streak ends here." Revenge said, unsheathing a dagger.

Police cars screeched to a halt behind Reaper and cops pointed their guns at the killer.

"Maybe another time, Black Hero." Reaper said, running into an alley. Police fired but missed. Revenge ran after him.

Reaper was climbing up a آگ کے, آگ escape quite rapidly. Revenge shot a grappling line up and landed on the roof. He stepped on Reaper's hand when it appeared. Police swarmed the alley below.

"Give it up!" Revenge said.

Reaper pulled himself onto the roof, his hand still under Revenge's foot. He managed to pull it out and stand up.

Revenge took out a dagger. Reaper raised his scythe.

"You will fall." Revenge said.

"Not leaving much room for your defeat here, are you?" Reaper asked.

"No, not much." Revenge said.

Reaper swung his scythe, causing the teen to jump back in order not to be sliced in half. Revenge threw down a dagger and a smoke بادل erupted. Reaper walked through unfazed, swinging his scythe.

Revenge jumped over a slice and kicked him in the face. Reaper fell back, a plastic ghost mask falling to the ground.

Revenge threw a few مزید daggers, one scraping Reaper's good arm before detonating and tossing him in front of Revenge. Revenge grabbed Reaper سے طرف کی the leg and walked over to the edge of the building.

"Who's your اگلے target?" Revenge demanded.

"Santa Clause! No, Rudolph! No, the Easter Bunny! That's it! The Easter bunny!" Reaper said, laughing like a maniac.

"Losing my patience." Revenge کہا as Reaper's ڈاکو, ہڈ and چادر, فرغل fell down the forty story drop to the road below.

"Drop me." Reaper said, taking pleasure from the 'torture'.

Revenge frowned and rammed Reaper into the edge of the building. Reaper laughed. Revenge hauled him up and grabbed him سے طرف کی the collar.

"I said: Who. Is. Your. Next. Target?" Revenge asked.

Behind him, police climbed up, Draxx in the lead.

"Me!" Reaper said.

Revenge was puzzled for a moment. A moment long enough for Reaper to stumble back, almost falling off.

Revenge caught him.

"Final Warning: Tell me یا else." Revenge said, holding Reaper out سے طرف کی one hand around his throat above the drop.

"Revenge! Don't!" Draxx warned.

"Him!" Reaper said, pointing at the gargoyle. 

Revenge dropped him.

The police ran آگے and looked over the edge. Reaper was grappling away, laughing maniacally.

"Why did you-?" Draxx began, but Revenge cut him off.

"I knew he would do that. I placed a tracker on him." Revenge کہا simply before shooting a grappling line across the سٹریٹ, گلی and jumping.

"Follow him!" Draxx yelled, pointing at the hero.

ہولی locked her suitcase and walked out of her room. Artemis was waiting in the main room in her usual civvies. ہولی had on a black tank-top, jeans, and a black leather jacket. 

The two girls walked into the zeta room. They stepped into a zeta-tube as Red Tornado typed something into the computer.

"Recognized: Artemis. B-07. Courage. B-12." the computer rang out. A moment later, the two girls were inside an abandon warehouse. They walked out and across the road to Reagan International Airport.

"Now Boarding Flight 741 to Germany." the computerized voice rang out. Artemis and ہولی gave a woman their tickets and climbed on the airplane. Artemis managed to get the window seat, leaving ہولی اگلے to her.

The two blondes minded their own business throughout the flight. Not talking to the other once. When they had landed in Germany and had re-claimed their luggage, that's when Artemis spoke up.

"Supper یا Mission?" she asked.

"Supper." Both girls agreed.

Revenge pulled the scythe out of his chest and felt for a pulse in Reaper's latest target.

None.

Revenge was losing his touch. Three men dead in an hour. All he could have stopped.

He had yet to succeed.
