Chapter 13-


"Nightwing?" 

"Report Wondergirl." 

"Batgirl isn't responding."

Dick cursed under his breath.

"Knowing Batgirl, she's probably touring the sites." 

"But Batgirl seems so, into the missions." Wondergirl replied.

"Give her until morning before we start worrying." Nightwing said.



Revenge staggered.

"What?" Batgirl asked.

"The oxygen..." Revenge gasped. "We're heading the wrong way."

Barbara didn't notice any lack of oxygen. Not until she walked a few feet in front of her. It was as if she had passed through a barrier. Oxygen was depleted.

"Okay, now what?" Barbara asked, stepping back towards the oxygen-rich area.



"Yes, sir?"

"Inform Samuel Grant that I will continue negotiations with him now."

"Sir, Mr. Grant has requested to be left alone for the time being. I shall inform آپ when he is ready."

The soldier left and Joseph leaned on his desk. "What are آپ up to now, Grant?"



Barbara stumbled backwards, but couldn't find the oxygen rich area. 

Revenge looked down and Barbara saw he was standing in the middle of a laser light.

"Ah." Revenge choked out. "I'm an idiot."

He tossed a gas mask to Batgirl and slipped one on his face as well.

"Let's go." Revenge said.

The two continued forward.

"You know they want your to go forward, right?" Barbara asked.

Revenge nodded.

"Then why-?"

Revenge tore a vent out of the ceiling and crawled in. He reached a hand down to Barbara and pulled her up as well. They crawled along the air vents.



"Nightwing..."

Dick sighed and set down his glass at his solitary table. "What Cass?"

"Im getting worried."

Dick sighed. "I'll call her."

Dick reached into his pocket and pulled out a communicator. He pressed Batgirl's picture and waited. 



Barbara's earpiece buzzed. 

"Batgirl? Are آپ there?"

Revenge looked at her. "Shut it off! Stealthy, remember?"

Barbara frantically fidgeted with her earbud, trying to turn it off.

"Repeat. This is Nightwing. Pick up Batgirl!"

A voice muttered something below them.

Revenge grabbed Barbara's cowl, کفنی an yanked it off her face. He grabbed her earbud and smashed if with his fingers.

"Do آپ have any IDEA what Dick is going to do to me?!" Barbara exclaimed.

"Put it on my tab." Revenge replied.

The voice below them muttered something else and proceeded to their rear.

"Let's get down." Revenge کہا after a moment. The two dropped down and Barbara looked around.

"Clear."

She started north when Revenge coughed.

"What?" she asked.

"Cowl?" Revenge asked, nodding at her head.

Barbara frowned and pulled the mask back over her head. 

"Now can we go?" she asked.

"Now we can go."



"Has Mr. Grant replied yet?"

"No, sir." 

Joseph thought for a moment before standing up.

"I'm going to the base. Let me know if Grant indeed turns up."

"Yes, my Lord."



"Barbara's not answering." Dick replied.

"What about GPS?"

Dick checked the screen for the tenth time.

"Negative. Get suited up. We're leaving."



Revenge walked clear through the armory without so much as raising an eyebrow. Barbara stopped to gaze at the mass amount of weapons and firearms.

Revenge stopped cold in the اگلے room. It was a balcony. A balcony overlooking an empty hangar. An empty hangar with the letters USSR stamped on the wall. The Soviet flag flew high.

"Whoah." Barbara said, coming into the room.

At that moment, the hangar opened and soldiers began marching in.

"Shit!" Revenge cursed. He and Barbara turned to leave, but the door opened to reveal the Russian President with a gun aimed at their faces.
