Okay, at first I admit I thought it was Black Manta سے طرف کی the appearance. But, when he spoke it sounded different, more… I couldn’t find the word to describe it, but it was definitely different. “We’re in the middle of something, Manta.” I frowned. “And I want to join. Twenty million.” He کہا in a somewhat cocky tone. I just sighed, looking at everyone else, none of them seemed to want to bid any higher. I sighed, wondering how this was going to end up. “Fine,” I pressed the red COM that had been fixed behind my ear, “Colin? Lift the charm please?” Suddenly, the dim blue glow that had been emanating from the leather bag disappeared. Manta reached for it, but I quickly snagged it away before he could grab it. I wagged a finger at him, “Nope! Moolah first, then we talk.” I smirked.
But unexpectedly and before I could do یا say anything, there was a quick hiss and Manta was holding his ہیلمیٹ in his hand. Not trying to be dramatic یا anything, I held in my gasp, but still letting my brain silently explode on the inside. He tossed a small bag on the table, and the sharp pinging sound it made signified what I was looking for. “Happy now, Mercy?”
I just stood there, frozen. When finally I spoke. “Kaldur?” I managed to croak out. “Mercy-” He sighed. “What the hell, Kaldur’Ahm?” I shouted at him angrily, while also throwing a ball of flames at his head, which barely missed and hit the wall.
I ran out of the warehouse, pulling out Transport in the process.
Transport, give me a location on Jacob Till please. I thought. It was interesting, somehow Transport and I had developed some sort of phycic bond over the years. I was able to talk to him, and he responded!

I'm going to end up dead either way, aren't I? With that closing thought, I quickly stuffed Transport into an open compartment in my utility belt. Walker سٹریٹ, گلی just happened to be a few blocks away, so I wouldn't bother transporting there.
It was a large cemented building, not very noticeable. I ran in, slowing my pace as I walked into one of the hallways. "28, 30, 32..." There it was. Room 34, Jacob Till's office. I burst angrily into the room, "I'm done!" I shouted, chucking the bag at his head. It wouldn't hit him anyways; he could copy powers, so he could obviously already do that things where آپ اقدام things with your mind (I forget what it's called). I watched as the bag stopped mid-air and slowly let itself down on his desk. "With what?" He asked cooly, beginning to scribble something down on a piece of paper. "With everything!" I began to pace back and forth. "With- With the selling, the meetings..."
"I could promote you." He interrupted, still not looking up from his desk. "Why? What good does it do? I always end up running from the police, یا killing someone, or-or getting in deep trouble with Maura!" I was rambling now, and I'm pretty sure I was leaving a deep black burn mark on the floor where I was walking on.
Before Jacob یا I could say anything, Maura appeared, leaning in the doorway. "I heard my name," She smirked and walked over to Jacob, who was now standing, and pulled him in close to her. I still didn't understand why they were a couple anyways. "What's up, Bell?" She faked a smile over at me. I shook my head, "I'm done." I muttered quietly and stormed out.
It was raining outside now, but I didn't care. I had no idea where I was going یا what I was doing. I had no sense of time, except for that with each minute, it felt like an hour. The only noise that i heard was the rain and the occasional car horn یا laughter of a couple caught in the rain. It was like that for another few منٹ یا so until I began to hear the steady pattern of another set of feet splashing along beside me. I looked up, expecting to see either Colin, Heather, یا Clint. It wasn't any of them, it was Kaldur. "You stalking me یا something?" I huffed out, stuffing my hands into my pockets and letting the rain soak through my jacked and into my skin. "Mercy," He began quietly, "I'm sorry."
He kept his eyes focused on the ground. I scoffed, "Sorry for what?" I said, then continued on in a much مزید sarcastic matter, "Oh, that's right! Disappearing! Not even bothering to tell me where to, why, یا even saying goodbye!" I had begun to resort to yelling again. "Mercy, I am sorry!" Kaldur's voice was growing louder also.
I raised my hands in surrender and sighed, "Okay, I'm not going to yell anymore, but can آپ at least tell me why? Explain to me, why آپ left, why آپ are working with Black Manta, and why آپ wanted The CodeBreaker?" (Okay, now آپ know what was in the bag). He looked at me like he was about to cry. "Black Manta is my biological father. I wish I could tell آپ more, but I honestly cannot. And I still need the CodeBreaker." I ignored the last part and began to stare him down.
"There's more, isn't there? It's Tula.... آپ still miss her. It's what made آپ crack." He looked down again, I groaned. "Kaldur, don't think I didn't notice, okay? I know آپ loved her, I understand! It's like that with Gavin and I! I mean, I was never jealous یا anything of her. She was like a best friend to me!" I sighed again, this hurt. Before he could say anything, I muttered out, "I'll see آپ around, 'kay? Have fun with your life and don't get caught. The last thing I need is to break someone out of jail again." I pulled out Transport and began to walk away. "Mercy, wait!" Kaldur shouted. I just saluted and disappeared, reappearing in what was called "The Zone". It was that one dimension between telaporting. Transport had made it so that it was just a big white plane. I wiped the tears off my face and steamed the rest of the rainwater off of me.
Where to? Transport's voice suddenly appeared in my head.
