Background Story: Grew up in the fire nation. He was just a boy drafted into the army, at age 17(age he is now) he and a small unit was sent to one of the few air villages left and was ordered to slaughter all. He refused and killed his own men protecting the others. He was exiled from the fire nation, His parents and young brother where killed in front of the entire nation as a example. He swore revenge upon the fire nation, one day to return.
