I’d like to know about Jane working with the team again on
While WelLer & Co. will find it hard to trust JanE, she’s not too happy with them either. “She feels that the team pretty much gave her to the CIA,” Jaimie AlexanDer says, “and she’s been beaten eveRyday for three months straight.” In short, don’t expect a happy reunion.
To say that Klaus and Marcel’s relationship is more complicated than ever would be an understatement. “The indignity of Klaus Mikaelson’s situation the last five years [is being] held captive by his surrogate son and forced to be an advisor to a king that he does not recognize,” EP Julie Plec says. “Also, [he knows] Marcel is actually singularly responsible for the fact he’s alive, because so many people have come to town in the last five years desperate to see him reduced to ash.”
While it seemed like Tucker was gearing up to propose to Olivia in the finale, she may not be ready for that when the show returns. “She wants to be, but the emotional fallout of Mike’s death is causing her to question everything,” Mariska Hargitay says.
It’s not specifically Haleb, but how about some general shipper scoop for the finale? After season 7 introduced us to a number of new couples (Spaleb, anyone?) and reunited some old couples (Ezria, anyone?) there will be happiness in the summer finale. But the question is: Which couples get a happy ending? According to showrunner Marlene King, “There are three sets of shippers that will be very happy with this finale.” Hit the comments with your guesses!
Potentially. “Obviously we did that on purpose,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says. “We love working with Teddy [Sears]. He’s such an amazing actor and amazing person, and was so much a part of the success of this show last season. There aren’t any immediate plans for that, but you can’t keep a good Black Flash down, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing him in the future.”
Ask and you shall receive! “We’re going to see Henry back in operation with Emma,” EP Edward Kitsis says. And yes, that does mean there’s a new operation name! “It will be revealed in the premiere,” EP Adam Horowitz says.
How’s this for cryptic? “The return of a very familiar face is in the works,” executive producer Rob Doherty tells me. “We are working on bringing back a beloved member of the
family. The odds are quite good.” It’s not yet official, so I can’t tell you who he’s talking about, but hit the comments with your theories!
How will the team feel about Liz Keen being alive on
There are mixed reactions. “They all have various levels of feeling betrayed by Liz,” Megan Boone says. “I also think they understand why she did what she did on a certain level. They’re just hurt because they had to go through the mourning process of her death. Now, of course, her being alive is great news, but it’s just really painful.”
Well, considering what was revealed at the end of last season, I’d say things will be pretty tense. “Annalise has a big dilemma on her hands: What does she do about Frank?” EP Pete Nowalk says. “She found out he’s basically responsible for killing her one chance at having a child, which she did not know for the last 10 years. We left her in that moment where she said, ‘He needs to go,’ and now we have to figure out what that means to her — it could mean many a thing.”
Any scoop on what’s going to happen to the loft-mates this year on
Other than Cece and Schmidt desperately wanting to move out, you mean? Here’s a tidbit for you: Winston isn’t just Prank Sinatra, he’s become the loft’s Inspector Gadget. (Winspector Gadget?
.) When Nick comes back after visiting Reagan in New Orleans, Winston’s going to show his loft-mate just how easy it is to keep the sparks flying despite the distance. After all, he’s been doing great with Aly, who’s out of town at the FBI Academy. “Winston has become a master of the long-distance relationship and has all these technological gadgets and tricks that make him an amazing long-distance boyfriend,” showrunner Liz Meriwether says. “Obviously, that’s not really Nick’s thing, so he’s struggling a bit more.”
Best news I’ve heard all week: Brittany Snow better show off her aca-amazing skills on
That’s a wrap on this week’s Spoiler Room. Be sure to email your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com or tweet them to @NatalieAbrams.
