Brennan closed her phone as she got into Jason's car. "Can we stop at the diner? I need to pick something up for Booth. Apparently there's no food in my house."
"I thought he forgot who آپ were. And why isn't he staying in his own house?" responded Williams as he turned onto a 22nd street.
"He remembered. He کہا he wanted to be close to the lab in case something happened. He's just trying to make up for what happened, though. He's still pretty out of it, so it's not like he'd be able to help me anyway."
Brennan stood in the darkened room on the other side of the interrogation room. The suspect's story couldn't be trusted, and Sweets rambled on as Williams continued the investigation.
"He's nervous. Do آپ see how he keeps changing positions?...How's Booth? Are آپ still not speaking with him?" added Sweets, tearing his eyes away from the window in front of them.
"He's staying with me. Does that mean he's guilty? Being nervous, what does it mean?"

"Dr. Brennan, partners don't usually interact outside of work, not like آپ and Agent Booth do. Has anything happened since...?"

"A while ago. Are آپ hungry? There's stuff for sandwiches in the fridge." she said, then turned back to the papers in front of her. She sighed, put them on the table. "I was talking to Sweets earlier." she کہا as he ambled toward the kitchen.
"Yeah? What about? Is there any mustard in here?" he added as he looked in the fridge for it.

"Yeah, well that's Sweets for you. What'd آپ tell him? Where's the ham? You're organization in here is terrible." he replied jokingly.

It took a lot of will power for Brennan to stay where she was instead of reaching over and wiping it away, but she refused to prove Sweets correct. Just partners, that's it. Even if something did happen, we'd have to act like nothing did. I wonder if we could pull it off...
