New Nina interview about Delena- will make آپ go probably snarl 

WTF Nina! Duh, it would be surprising... it would surprise Elena too. Tou can't help who you're attracted to or who you develop feelings for and THAT would be a damn good storyline.

It's not her fault guys...how is she supposed to talk about the relationship of DE if the writers keep showing SE and no signs of them slowing down?

I can't say I'm surprised at this, but I think everyone should take it with a pinch of salt. Regardless of the things she says about SE/DE, I don't think she's allowed to state a preference. She obviously has to promote Stefan/SE because that's who she's with NOW. I know a lot of DE fans are angry about this on the wall, but what else is she supposed to say? She can't give anything away about DE and the love triangle if it hasn't happened on the show yet. As much as I would love to read an interview when she says 'Elena is denying her feelings for Damon' or 'She is drawn to him with a force beyond her control', right now, what have we seen on the show? We don't know what her feelings for him are apart from friendship. I think we should all remember it's still VERY early days yet. They're being very slow in writing this triangle, but it's for a reason - it has to last the length of the series. Honestly, I'm not worried. I don't take this type of thing seriously. People are reading way more into this than they should. It doesn't mean that DE don't stand a chance. It just means it hasn't happened yet. I think we'll see things pick up towards the end of the season, and next season will be more triangle/DE-friendly.

@delenasalvatore I'm not trying to spread negativity or lead people into losings a hope cause I haven't lost a hope myself I still believe in DE and I'm not giving up on the show but this interview is very depressing. I think we are not reading too much into it, her answer sounded like we are reading to much into DE relationship, that she the chemistry we see between DE doesn't exist. she actually confirmed that it will alway be Stefan for Elena cause she is a very loyal girl. Common, the question was very clear "Will Elena EVER reciprocate Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) feelings for her?" I mean the question was not about present it was about future and Nina's answer was pretty clear too. I did't expect Nina either to say that Elena has feelings for Damon (cause she doesn't) or that she'll probably fall for him very soon cause she cannot give anything away. but she could just say that she doesn't know what's gonna happen in the future and everything is possible on TVD or something like that (you know their standard answers). it seems to me that the producers are not even planing to give us a real triangle in the nearest future.
I also hoped to see some Stefarine interaction but again Nina said that "Stefan has really been through it all with Katherine so it would have to take something pretty massive to sway him towards her again." It is obvious that everyone is trying to shove SE in our throat and convince us that they have unbreakable bond and that their love is true and epic. sorry again guys for being pessimistic, I can't just help myself...

and I agree with @INLOVEWITHDAMON it isn't Nina's fault. I think she just said what the producers and writers of the show told her to say. I'm sure all question and answers are discussed with the producers in advance. the cast members will not say things that are not discussed and agreed with the producers.

Keep in mind that they couldn't even call it a triangle if the series continues the way it is. A lot of fans will be angry with the producers and show in general if they don't deliver on that aspect. I know how maddening it is when the cast and producers give vague answers, but personally, I'm not convinced they ARE trying to shove SE down our throats. I think they have some idea that DE have a much bigger fanbase than SE, and they try to sell or promote SE as this epic love story to please that section of the fans. They don't need to promote DE because DE promotes itself. And, to be honest, I think they know that SE is much weaker and that it's not an epic story at all. If they were confident in it, they wouldn't feel that they had to say it was epic in every single interview about SE. I don't think any other show would define a relationship/couple in that way. Basically, all that SE has going for it is an 'epic, true love' which only exists in the producers heads, and not for the majority of the audience it's playing to. So I don't take anything the writers/producers/cast say about SE seriously.

I have to say that her interviews always makes me angry. She is the biggest SE promoter than any other TVD member. She is worse than Paul Wesley, who is in every interview so desperate to convice audience that Stefan and Elena are epic, grea, meant to be, bla, bla, bla... Why are than Damon and Elena so popular even without being a couple for now or in nearest future for sure? I hate also almost every interview by Julie Plec, she is such a manipulative individual. And all of them are using Damon's character and hudge fanbase for him and Elena to run this show. Because, this teen transparently fake moral story about Stefan and Elena, woudn't reach to finish one season without Damon and the idea of the love triangle and his love with Elena. So, I made myself promise not to read TVD interviews any more! Because they are plain and dumm as much as the epic love story they are so eager to convince us to love and support.

maybe she is trying to say that she wouldn't get with Damon until she and Stefan are broken up or maybe she is trying to distracted bc something does happen.

Yeah, well so Elena is a loyal girl. Fine. But the writers can't keep her a Mary Sue forever. There's gotta be some twist in the plot where Elena suddenly feels reckless.
And yes, I agree with the comments above. There is no way they would tell us that Delena was going to happen soon. I agree that they probably want us to think that Stelena is what will always happen and then out of nowhere, Delena suddenly comes in the picture.

fuck you nina! ok i admit to u that it would surprising but seriously! it would awesome and she feels a deep connection 2 damon 2 not just stefan! and u know what? it wouldnt be fucking surprising and by the way elena is not that loyal 2 stefan that much because she keeps lying to him about what she is doing and if she is trying to kill herslf so dont say that "oh elena wouldnt fall for damon because shes loyal to stefan", so fuck that bullshit ok so 4get about it!
