​Demi Lovato is killing it these days. Not only does she have an amazing new single out that\'s basically your summer anthem, but she\'s on the cover of

, looking absolutely stunning. It\'s hard to believe that Demi would ever have had a reason to be jealous of another star, but she was at one point.

​, Demi admits that she was once super jealous of her fellow Disney Channel star, Miley Cyrus — but the reason why might surprise you.

"There was a time when I was jealous of people who were able to party," she confessed. Demi, who struggled with alcohol abuse and an eating disorder for many years, has been sober for three years and avoids going out and partying as a result.

"For instance, Miley, in her music video \'Can\'t Stop,\' her whole thing was partying and not giving a f**k. Part of me was super jealous that I couldn\'t be like that," she revealed. 

We\'ve all had moments when we\'ve been jealous of someone, whether it\'s the popular girl who\'s invited to every party while you\'re staying in every Friday night, or your friend who has the perfect wardrobe. But Demi has a way of dealing with jealousy.  "I had to look at my life and be like, \'OK, that\'s just not what you can do. There\'s no need to be bitter about it,​" she said.

Props to Demi for living a responsible life on her terms, and not letting what she can\'t do get in the way of her happiness.
