Disney Princess Modernizing Disney Princess

Basically we come up with ideas to put each princess in a modern (preferably college or high school) setting. I figured out Belle and Mulan

Mulan-A young lady who grew up learning kung fu under the guidance of her father. When her friend Ling begs for her help, she takes his place on the football team disguised as a dude.

Belle-A outcast and model student who loves reading literature. She's assigned a rather obnoxious and hot tempered project partner named Adam, they must learn to work together.

Aurora - She has hemophilia and as a result her parents home school her and keep a watchful eye to make sure she stays safe. One day however, her parents are sick and she's the only one who can go out and get groceries. She stops by the local park to take advantage of her rare moment of freedom, and there meets a kind young man named Philip.

Merida-A rebellious teen who is wild and adventurous. Though she doesn't act like it, she often feels her mother is sheltering her from the freedom she desperately craves. Everything takes a turn for the worst when the two have a very heated arguement one night. After an old lady hears the commotion, she tells them their bond will be torn by anger if the intensity between them keeps on. In order to save their bond, the mother/daughter duo do everything possible.

Cinderella- Ella Dufrene, a fallen 'princess' so to speak, had come from a business family of modest wealth till her father remarried and he died of a sudden heart attack. Mrs. Tremaine let her own daughters Stacey and Drew party away the money and spend it on lavish clothes, furniture, and cars they didn't need while sharing none with Ella. They force her to take a custodian job at the family business (antique shop her father had made a lot of money selling and trading with) to earn her keep. Ella was homeschooled most of her life but Tremaine decides buying her books needed isn't worth it and reluctantly sends the charming, pretty girl to public school her senior year. Ella decides she's had enough and studies hard to get a scholarship to fashion design school and have her own life. She's teased by the other kids for her second-hand clothes despite her attempts to modernize them and how all she does is sit alone at lunch reading or sketching. She becomes lonely till she hears about a dance at the expensive, fancier high school- it's open to other students (so none of her bullies would be there), free, so her stepmother couldn't object, right? She could have ONE night of fun after so much work and studying, surely? Tremaine thinks it would be a good chance to get her own daughters in with the rich kids, so she agrees... IF she can clean up the shop, finish her homework, AND do the numerous household chores she has to do already. Ella does her best and tries to adjust her mother's pink cocktail dress, the only thing she had left Tremaine hadn't gotten rid of... but in a fit of rage at seeing her wearing their thrown-away accessories, they trash the dress and Ella has nothing presentable to wear. A kindly old lady who had been a regular of her father's shop comes in and offers to loan her daughter's old quinceanera gowns it would take her a second to adjust with safety pins... just makes Ella promise to be back early so she won't get in trouble. She goes in a silvery gown and meets a sweet boy she forgets to get the name of, they got so swept up in talking about everything- school, music, even politics. She forgets the time and rushes out in the last minute as her stepsisters are about to spy her.

Ariel is on the swim team at her school and her strict father is the coach. But when she keeps skipping swim practice to secretly watch the theatre club rehearsals from the back row, she falls for Eric: a guy who's playing the male lead. When he overhears her singing in an empty school hallway, he falls in love with her voice and is determined to find who was singing. Ariel asks the drama teacher, Ursula, if she can audition for the school production. Ursula hears her sing and is impressed, but she's already promised Vanessa, a cruel teacher's pet, the female lead. However, she tells Ariel that she can be an extra in the production *if* she sings Vanessa's part while Vanessa lip syncs. Ariel agrees to this and is given 0 lines or interaction with Eric's character as an extra, but is still happy to be in the production (and get to sing for the female lead, even if it's in secret from behind the curtain). When Eric and Vanessa start flirting, Ariel's friends form a plan to pull the curtain down on the day of the production and reveal Ariel as the true voice of the female lead.
