I honestly didn't learn much from her at all but accept to follow your heart but don't all Disney Princesses teach you that anyway!! Ariel is no different from her because she disobeyed her father to but she's already out I think she's a wonderful role model but that's my opinion Jasmine to me is just a spoiled, whiny brat whose afraid to stand up for herself but that's just me sorry Jasmine nothing personal

Aurora does not do anything on her own. She gets too comfortable with Phillip too quick, who she has never known, and is more naive than Snow White. Snow White knew that something was off about the old hat, while Aurora thought that Phillip couldn't have harmed a little hair on her head, and was practically playing hard tote at first. She is too trusting, a bit flirty (which is alright) and too naive

She talked to a stranger, just falls in love with him and falls asleep. Yes she is kind and graceful but that's not enough to be considered a good role model.

Aurora might not be necessarily a good role model, but neither is she a bad one. Jasmine on the other hand...I always cringe when she callously insults every prince coming to her (I get that she doesn't want to get married, but how about letting them down gently? She could start a war with this kind of behaviour...it certainly doesn't make Agrabah's relationship with the neighbors better), and is overall very much "I want, I can, I'm so smart" - but is nevertheless barely able to deal with the outside world. A good role model should show how to keep the hand, not how to loose it!

Agree with Swanpride

She's really passive and unable to show what she wants and fight for it, without the constant help and support of those around her.

Basically because she doesn't show herself of being a good role model as much as the others.

Why so many countdowns on role models?
Anyway, I think Cinderella is a pushover. That's my opinion.

BTW, It think that the "she fell in love with a stranger" argument against Aurora is very strange. I mean Jasmine didn't exactly know Aladdin either when she followed him to his home in "bad" part of Agrabah (invinting someone to the own home, where your aunts are present sounds much safer to me). Most of the princesses didn't know much about their partners when they meet, and with the exception of Mulan they all fell in love awfully fast. Belle didn't even know why the Beast was cursed. It's just so odd that Aurora gets slammed for something they all did in one form or another. And really, how are you suppose to meet "Mr. Right" when you don't talk to strangers from time to time? That's the reason why we flirt with someone, to get to know someone you feel attracted to.

She disobeyed the fairies and talked to someone she never met before and also fell in love with him.

hajirah4, thank you for defending Aurora for touching the spindle, that is such a stupid argument!
However, I think it is Aurora's time to go, mainly because she doesn't really do much of her own, so there isn't really anything she does that is role model-worthy. I know I look to Jasmine as role model to say what I am really feeling despite whether I think it is what others want to hear, because that is really difficult for me. Obviously, I think Jasmine didn't do it in the most productive way either, but she still stood for what she believed and what she really felt even if it wasn't what others wanted of her.

Jasmine is by far worst then Aurora.
