ONLY because Little Mermaid started the Disney Renaissance, and without it, we wouldn't have more than 1/2 of the disney princess films.

OMG...I feel like I'm going against nature by voting her out!! Snow White started it all, and The Little Mermaid kicked off the Disney Renaissance, both are very important!! Poor Cinderelly :(

DUH Cinderella did saved disney from shutting down but The Little Mermaid saved disney and started an era Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is the one that started it all

yup, i agree with KataraLover and DreamyGal.

If Cinderella had not been a success, the whole Disney Company might have been out of cash, and thus, The Little Mermaid might have not even existed as a Disney film since the company would have been gone.

I also agree.

While most consider Little Mermaid to have started the Renaissance, it was only the more popular of the films released. Not even a year earlier, Roger Rabbit came out, which was a Disney film with a lot of animation. It was a big financial success and won 3 Oscars. This came less than a year before Little Mermaid. I think Snow White, Cinderella, and Beauty and the Beast are the most important, but that is just my opinion.

^^That is true, but even the animators say that the Renaissance started with The Little Mermaid. Heck, Roy E. Disney said it. Still, Roger Rabbit was a big influence. I might change my vote.

TLM saved Disney from not being able to make animated movies. If it weren't for TLM, there would be no BaTB, Aladdin, Mulan, and so much more iconic movies!

I can't decide. All of these 3 are important. Snow White started it all, and both Cinderella and The Little Mermaid saved Disney. I agree with what AllegroGiocoso said. Rawr, it's too hard for me to choose.

I agree with everything AllegroGiocoso said. If Cinderella failed, then it's likely that the other movies would not be here (e.g. Little Mermaid)
