Which is better - H.C. Andersen's original Little Mermaid, یا Disney's Little Mermaid?

I say H.C. Andersen's version. I love the Disney version so much, with all of the animation, music, characters, and songs (which I sing frequently, of course), but it's missing something very valuable: an adequate theme. What I understand from the Disney version is, the گھاس is ACTUALLY greener on the other side, so go ahead and abandon your family, your life, and your voice for a selfish desire, otherwise known as the love of a handsome prince آپ never even talked to. And in the end, everything will work out.

But in the original version, the main character still has the naive desire of the love of a prince she's never talked to, and takes part in a terrible bargain, yet it doesn't work out for her in the end. Yet she matures at the end of the story when, after receiving a dagger that will allow her to kill the prince so that she can live herself, she chooses true love instead of her petty love from the beginning of the story and ends up not killing the prince. Basically, she gives up her life for the prince to live. So I think there's a cool theme of true love in there.

Disney's Little Memaid 100% - Disney's version is age appropriate, which family and دوستوں can love and cherish throughout their lives.

But the original fairytale سے طرف کی Hans Christian Anderson is depressing, gory all throughout the story, it's like HCA is blackmailing young ones 🙁
