What makes the TARDIS act crazy after the Doctor regenerates? Has this always happened?

Apparantly, when Ten regenerated, the TARDIS all fell apart because it was part of the Silence's plan to infiltrate the TARDIS. However, this has never actually been hinted in the show, so I'm not convinced. I think with Ten it was mainly because he was the only one who held off his regeneration as he really didn't want to go, resulting in مزید explosive regenerative energy. However, that is just a theory.

Well the TARDIS is part of the doctor so when he regenerates the TARDIS regenerates. Hope this helped
